What do you love most about your job?
I have always really enjoyed solving problems. Always enjoyed the mechanics of things. My favourite part of my job is definitely when I’m asked an open ended question about how to solve something and am then able to work through the solution with people.
Separate to this is when I do get to see houses or projects when they’re in use. Building sites are just workplaces, whereas homes and places people love being in are joyful.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After I qualified and had been working as an architect for a couple of years, friends and contacts I knew through family were asking me to look at problems they thought they had with their homes. Things snowballed from there and all of a sudden nearly twenty years has passed...!
Why should our clients choose you?
As an individual, my own experience with finding people to provide help with projects is that there just doesn't seem to be seriousness and passion there. If I'm going to do something and someone is to help me, I'd like them to thoroughly understand what my needs are and to be nearly as excited and enthusiastic about it as I am. I want to be and hope am, that passionate person you're looking for! That's the ethic of my practice and those who work here.

Yes, we always start with a free remote appraisal for clients, if that's appropriate and aside from checking out sites to ensure there's nothing which might be missed, all work is carried out remotely via Zoom and Teams.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have specific safe working policies in place. All situations regarding sites, operations and risks of infection are dealt with using the utmost seriousness.
Viability Assessment (free of charge)
For every project we carry out a 'Complimentary Assessment' for clients to help them establish whether or not they have the business case to take a project forward.
Feasibility Designs
An initial design will be developed based on site conditions and client brief requirements for discussion, further development and updating.
Planning Application Information
Our Feasibility Designs will be updated and revised to the requirements of the Local Authority planning submission criteria and we will submit them on your behalf.
Technical Design and Tender Issue
We will provide detailed, up to date information in relation to the technical specifications you require and construction drawings, schedule and finishes information for pricing by multiple builders. We will then review the prices which are returned and advise you on their viability and accuracy.
Site Inspections, Contract Administration and Certification
We will oversee the work as it proceeds on site, advise as to whether it's being carried out to the correct standard, request remedial work if it is not and certify the value of the work at the necessary periods.
