We booked Gary for providing transport services for our wedding. There were positive aspects in the build up to our wedding, but our actual experience on the day and thereafter was disappointing. Throughout the booking process, Gary was easy to contact, answered our questions promptly and was happy to accommodate an additional journey that we requested. Up until our wedding day, we had every confidence that everything was in hand.Unfortunately, things went badly wrong on the day. The groom and best man were never collected as agreed, and the bride's car arrived significantly late despite numerous unanswered phone calls. We were left with no idea where the car was or whether it was coming. By this point, the Bride's Dad had started running to get his own car because we'd waited so long, with no response to our calls, that he was preparing to drive her to the ceremony himself.The delay caused significant stress for the bridal party and had a knock-on effect on the rest of our wedding day. One of the reasons we booked a wedding car was to enjoy the experience and have photographs with it before the ceremony. Because of the delay, there simply wasn't time, so that part of the experience was lost.To Gary's credit, he apologised on the day and offered us a refund, acknowledging that the service had fallen well below what had been agreed - this was greatly appreciated.Sadly, our experience after the wedding has been just as disappointing as the day itself. Rather than honouring the refund he offered, Gary later told us that staying after the ceremony for pictures "evened out" missing the first journey. In our view, this did not make up for the service that wasn't delivered, the disruption caused to our wedding day, or the pre-ceremony experience that we had paid for. Since then, our follow-up emails have either been met with dismissive responses or ignored completely.We fully understand that unexpected issues can arise, and had the matter been resolved in the way Gary himself proposed on the day, we would not have felt the need to leave this review. What has ultimately disappointed us most is not only what happened on our wedding day, but the way the situation has been handled afterwards. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. We made a late booking with Gary, with just one weeks notice. Gary put my mind at ease as soon as he replied to my first email, with several more to follow. We booked the Bentley and our journey was from Newquay to Liskeard. Gary turned up early, before the bride was ready and waited patiently. He and the car looked immaculate, Gary was well dressed and professional. He put the bride at ease and assisted us into the car. His driving was exceptional and his conversation was very interesting and informative. We hired the beautiful car 'Barker' for our wedding and it was truly one of the highlights of the day, travelling from our wedding ceremony to the reception in style with passers-by waving and cheering and Gary honking the old fashioned horn. I hired Gary’s gorgeous vintage Rover Barker for my wedding on 8th September. From the first communication of the booking right up until the day, Gary was absolutely amazing and made the whole process incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The booking was easy and communication on email was seamless. Gary was helpful, organised and made me feel like everything was being taken care of with the car. Barker arrived on time, beautifully clean and with amazing ribbon, flower and hamper decorations, all coordinated by Gary.
