As an experienced wedding celebrant, I’ve crossed paths with many photographers. Some good, some great, some not quite so great. When it came to my own wedding I knew exactly what I was looking for and as soon as I saw Dave’s work, I just knew it had to be him. He has a natural talent for capturing candid moments and picking the perfect scene. We couldn’t be happier with our photos - they are well framed, colourful and full of fun. But best of all, he’s the kind of guy that you’d want to be at your wedding, even if he wasn’t the photographer. All our guests adored him and he got the best out of everyone, including the children on what was a swelteringly hot day. Dave went above and beyond to make sure he got the right shots and his communication before and after the event was excellent. We had Dave recommended to us through our wedding venue & he exceeded all our expectations with our wedding photos! Myself & my husband aren’t the type of people who love the camera in our faces so we weren’t sure how much we were going to enjoy it on our wedding day. HOWEVER, Dave was amazing & took this into account and we both never even knew he was there, he was like a fly on the wall & captured the most beautiful photos! We first discovered Dave through a wedding page and decided on the full day package which meant we got his lovely partner - Mary - too. They make a wonderful team and we loved the shoot-off photos we got of Dave and Mary they took of eachother! It’s such our humour! 😂 Dave is easy going and relaxed and that’s what we wanted our wedding to be. He got photos of bride / groom & family we had only dreamed of having; since they all refuse to be in front of a camera! We were drawn to his confidence in what he could provide, he knows his stuff and he isn’t pushy. Dave recommended we made a dedicated wedding email which is something we hadn’t even thought about and ended up being one of the most useful things we did. He browsed our venue online in advance, read reviews and gave us the heads up on a few things. Such an in-depth consideration of our day which is such an above and beyond thing to do. The style of our photos are bright and airy and we love the photos we have showing the movement in the moment and it’s like being back in that moment! Dave was a ninja at some points and we have photos of ourselves we didn’t even see him taking which is so lovely to have as they’re so candid and real. I worked alongside Dave and Mary recently for a wedding (I am a makeup artist and hairstylist) and it was such a pleasure to work alongside and be in the presence of such lovely and kindhearted people… not only this but the photos they captured were absolutely beautiful. Dave and Mary are the ultimate duo that everyone NEEDS as their wedding photographers. Picking our photographer was something we struggled with but having come across Dave’s website (thanks Facebook ads) we knew he was the right choice for us. The initial call, to the pre-meet to the wedding day - Dave (and Mary and Leo!) were fantastic. It was an easy pick once we’d found him. Easy going, full of life and know what they’re doing. Dave has an understated sales technique that isn’t rammed in your face but fills you with confidence to capture your day perfectly.. and with no stress. I had never met Dave before but he was so friendly and had great communication so we could work smoothly together during the wedding. Dave made sure that I was able to get in the same angles to capture videos of the bride and groom without getting in each others way. He was very respectful and such great team work. It was lovely to be able to work together as a team even though we had never met before. Watching Dave speak to family members, guests and bride and groom he was very professional and friendly. Dave shows great experience with his photography and posing of the bride & groom. You are definitely in good hands with Dave and you will get great photos for your wedding day. Dave was our wedding photographer recently. There will never be enough words to truly describe just how wonderful our experience with Dave has been, right from our very first phone call we knew we had made the right decision. Dave has gone above and beyond for our wedding shoot and kept in regular contact throughout, which was really reassuring. He spent so much extra time picking spots for the best photographs and took us out to do a trial run pre-wedding. Dave creates such a wonderful atmosphere to be in which is what you need when taking professional photos as he just makes you feel so relaxed and calm. The quality of the final photos are beyond comparison, his style of photos are natural and light which is so refreshing after seeing other photographers whith such heavily edited photos, the attention to detail is beyond perfect! Our wedding photos were edited and uploaded to our online gallery within a matter of days, during which Dave kept us updated with the editing and uploading progress. There really is no other photographer that will tick all of your boxes I can assure you! Pick Dave Burgess Photography you will not be disappointed!

Dave was amazing!! As soon as I was booked up until the shoot we were in constant communication. No question was out of reach and he accommodated us so amazingly. Even purchased new set props to go with my wished for theme. When we were there him and his lovely partner Mary made you feel at home and relaxed straight away. Ezra being 1 was here there and everywhere and wanted to crash the place but that was all completely relaxed and Ezra had freedom to explore and I’m sure they will make some cracking photos. Dave’s time, patients and attention to detail is brilliant. I can’t wait for all the photos!! What an incredible experience for a first professional photo shoot for my son! Highly recommended!! Dave is very deserving of a 5* review. He kept me informed prior to the appointment and throughout the day while he worked through a checklist of shots that were required by the company I work for. He was incredibly patient and made the whole day very natural and comfortable. I was really impressed by Dave’s work, I felt he had a really good eye for adjustments to make the pictures better with small tweaks and positioning. I would highly recommend Dave for any photography genres, family, weddings, pets or corporate shoots as he covered most of these during the time he spent working with me.
