What do you love most about your job?
I love building something from the ground up which, is exactly what I have done with my pressure washing business.
I started SpicNSpan Surfaces Ltd. with absolutely nothing and my goal is to build the biggest jet washing company in the UK.
In order to achieve that, I believe customer service is the most important part of what we are trying to create, without our incredible clients, there is no SpicNspan Surfaces!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started to notice a change in the way services are offered in our country. Everyone seemed to be only interested in the money and the service came a poor second. Some business owners even treated me with disdain when serving me as if they were doing me the favour! So I thought I could do better than them and put good customer service at the heart of my business. What most companies will not do we pride ourselves on doing - going above and beyond to give our customer the service they require whether that means spending more time on a job to get it just so or if the customer askes for A and B, throwing in C for free...in short giving the type of service I'd be happy with.
Why should our clients choose you?
We offer efficient, friendly service with a guarantee of satisfaction. Also we know that at times customers may have a small gripe or complaint regarding the service they've received but often won't voice it- we want to know about any and every such complaint in order to attend to it personally and promptly and at no further cost to the customer - we do this by messaging every customer post job completion to ensure everything is to their liking.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Everything we use in terms of equipment is sterilized after each job. Before, during and after each job we clean not only the space in which we're working but the whole area surrounding it.
External Patios and Driveways
Removal of all types of stone, block and paving bacteria/fungi/algae (lichen; blackspot; moss; fecal contaminates like E. coli - often found in dirty water runoff from permeable paving; oil and grease spillages and/or stains, and general grime.
We also offer general maintenance and/or repair of all block, natural stone and paving areas - inc. the removal and repointing of worn out joints - alongside adding protective block/paving sealers, or translucent masonry coatings, designed to penetrate their surfaces and enhance colour, protect against future water damage, oil/grease spillages and prevent moss growth, often leaving a wonderful Matte, Satin or 'Wet Look' finish to the driveway/patio.
Full or Partial External House Clean
Using a combination of high-powered jet wash with simple stone detergents and/or eco-friendly chemicals - to avoid any secondary damage to garden life (plants, shrubs, flowers and insects) due to spray offs - we offer full exterior surface clean of your home (inc. garden walls, pathways, patio, driveway and all exterior walls of your property) to remove years of tough-to-reach build ups of grime, moss, weather damage and more.
Gravestones
We also pride ourselves on our ability to bring back the old, weather-beaten gravestones of our customers' Dearly Departed, to their former condition - usually, long-since-seen marble - through a method of steam cleaning, using temperatures of up to 150 degrees to get the job done correctly.
