Carrie Celebrates

Wow! From the moment we met Carrie on a Teams call we just knew that she would be the perfect celebrant for our surprise wedding celebration. This was followed by an in-person pub lunch and we just connected over our ideas, my love of organising and planning and she put our minds to rest on the variety of questions we asked.Within a week Carrie produced our first draft of our script and then another teams call to finalise and coordinate the main event. Carrie then arrived at our event (a good couple of hours drive for her) and set all the plans in action!The service was just perfect and matched us to a tee!Guests were asking “where had we met this delightful and fantastic” lady! Carrie was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding.Right from the start, it was clear that Carrie is extremely passionate about what she does. The process began with getting to know each other a little bit, before deciding if we were a good match. Carrie immediately struck us as someone we could trust to deliver our ceremony, because of how friendly and creative she is.Sometimes when you’re planning your wedding you’ll speak to potential suppliers and they’ll make you feel like they just want your business, pressuring you for a decision. Carrie gave us the space to think, and we’re so glad we chose her.We didn’t really know what we wanted from a ceremony in those early days, as the idea of a ceremony that was less traditional did initially seem daunting - but Carrie was very reassuring and provided plenty of inspiration and suggested ideas to explore.Over the coming months it was a real pleasure getting to know Carrie. She helped us shape our ceremony into something that was fun, but also personal and deeply meaningful. Carrie had studied the questionnaires we filled in and we enjoyed meeting in person to talk about our responses and plan the finer details. She made great effort to understand us both as individuals and as a couple, and it really showed in the ceremony she so carefully designed.Ahead of the big day, Carrie shared the draft script with us and we were really impressed. It perfectly captured our story and was exactly what we had in mind. We opted to keep some elements a surprise for the day, which was nice as we were prepared for what to expect generally, but we got to experience some things for the first time on the day - and that was really special.On the day of the ceremony, Carrie helped calm the nerves whilst getting us excited for the ceremony ahead. It went brilliantly, and we were both blown away with how it all came together. The thoughtfully designed Mr & Mrs cards and the special copy of the script are lovely keepsakes we will treasure for years to come. So many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever been to and it was so lovely because it was personal to us. Some guests even commented that they felt they knew us better after the ceremony.We are so grateful for having found a celebrant that helped us develop and deliver our vision, and ultimately crafted something incredibly special we will remember for the rest of our lives. Where do I begin to explain Carrie ? She is totally cool .. fun , social and very easy to talk to.. she has a warm and kind demeanor that makes you instantly comfortable being around her. . she listened to what we wanted and made the magic happen .. and when we didnt know what we wanted she talked us through different things and made us find something amazing ... im thankful we found her for our Wedding all the guests said how genuinely lovely she was making everyone feel welcome .. We met Carrie at the Un-Wedding Show last year, which was certainly one of the best wedding-finds we could’ve made! From the first moment she was spectacular. The effort Carrie took to get to know us in order to best tell our story was amazing, including taking us on a tour of Hastings and to a wonderful pub that we will absolutely be returning to! Carrie perfectly captured the vibe we wanted on our wedding day, kept things light-hearted and entertaining whilst also getting most of the room to shed a few tears. Carrie was incredibly supportive and meticulous throughout the planning process, and we were so grateful for her calming presence on the day. She also included some heartwarming surprise elements that we loved hearing for the first time during the ceremony. As two fairly quiet people, we loved having someone be able to so beautifully describe us to our loved ones, and tell our guests our story in a way that made the day feel all that more magical.
