We needed a new boiler. Berkshire Heating Solutions was recommended in a search. We phoned for an estimate. Jon came the next day and gave us a quote, which we accepted. Mike came 6 days later to remove our old system and start the instillation. Mike and Joel came the next day and flushed the whole system before fully installing the new boiler. They stayed late to finish the job completely. The cleared up after. We were kept informed of when they were arriving which was early on both days. The boiler is working perfectly. I posted a request on Saturday evening on checkatrade for assistance in making my gas boiler installation safe. On the Monday morning Jon turned up to perform a service and rectify the fault. The boiler was so old and I knew that spares would be unavailable. So agreed with Jon for a new modern gas boiler to be installed. By Wednesday afternoon it was done and dusted. Probably the best boiler service we have ever had, took their time, cleaned the boiler (remarked how dirty it was) despite regular servicing with other suppliers. Would use again. My boiler decided to call it a day last weekend after over 25 years service! Jon from BHS (not the shop!) called me and kindly popped over that evening at around 7pm. Even though my boiler was old, he still had a look at it, to see if it was a simple fixable solution. On the phone call we had prior to him arriving, he also suggested that a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 1000 may be better for me than a 2000 as the former was a newer design. This in particular was quite refreshing as normally you would expect the upsell rather than the reverse.As I was happy with everything I had seen so far, I decided to go ahead with these guys.A couple of days later Joel turned up first thing to get a new boiler put in.They respect your home, and clean up after themselves too (including the disposal of your old boiler).I would have no hesitation in recommending Berkshire Heating Solutions to anyone out there. So our water heater cut out unexpectedly giving us no hot water. I called Berkshire Heating and was met by a friendly customer service advisor who took all my details. Within a hour I received a phone call from Jon (I hope I've remembered the name correct, sorry if not) they planned a visit the same day within a few hours. Ray came out and diagnosed two faulty switches which were ordered and fitted the very next day fixing the heating. Our 10 year old boiler started leaking unexpectedly in an early evening so we submitted a request for a quote and received a reply very soon after, advising what the issue was likely to be and a possible cost for repair. After spending over 15 years at British Gas i began to see the way larger companies often lose sight of the simple things, like looking after the needs of their customers.
