I couldn’t be happier with our first session with Adrian. I was a bit afraid that my puppy will be nervous because this was the first time when I left her with someone. I can tell she enjoyed her time because she tried to walk back to the house several times. She looks and smells amazing and I can confidently say that we will be back. Adrian did a fantastic job with our boys - one of whom is old and vocal, while you young one is a constant wriggler, so I know it won’t have been an easy groom. But both boys were very happy and Adrian worked his magic to put them at ease, yet again. This was my puppy’s first grooming experience and unfortunately did not go well. I will say, I appreciate that despite booking a puppy introductory, he also trimmed her body upon request. However, when I went to collect all seemed fine and was told all is well. When I arrived home and put my dog down, there were prints of blood on the floor. This was extremely traumatising for myself as I had no idea what was happening. When I began to check her body, I noticed bleeding on her paw. She was in pain and was crying. When I showed the groomer a picture of her bleeding, I was told to put cooking flour. However, as I live right across our vet and she the bleeding was quite a lot, I decided to take her to the vet. They managed to stop the bleeding, but my dog was in a lot of pain and is traumatised (I was also told by the vet that putting cooking flour can cause infections and is not recommended) - to the point where she did not eat that night. This was an extremely unsettling experience for myself and my dog. I had to pay an additional £55 to the vet to stop the bleeding. Despite telling the groomer that I had to take her to the vet for an emergency service, I was not offered a compensation or refund as this was caused by issues during the service.It is really upsetting and a shame that this is the first session my puppy experienced and was traumatised. I am now worried about how she will act in her following grooming service, which will not be here. More...

Lovely place to get your dog groomed. They got me booked in really quickly and then take the time to go over the style of trim you want. My boy loved his groomer and his tail was wagging. They took time to get any matts out (my boy matts so easily) and gave me a comb and advice on how to keep them under control better at home. Look forward to booking in again in 8 weeks! More...

Apparently 'discerning dogs' don't include those that are a little boisterous or suffer from arthritis. I was told to: "go to a multi-personnel salon, as [my] dogs have special needs that environment is suited best to. "Edit - Response to Owner - No other groomer has said my dogs are special needs (because they are not - they are very well behaved and a joy to groom). The timing of the review has nothing to do with it. In that same spirit , I am being helpful to potential customers so they are aware that you take only healthy dogs and ones that do not require any particular attention.And incidentally, you have broken the data protection law. Avoid at all cost!I would give no stars if I could.It was the first time Iused this Dog Groomers and they literally butchered my dog! We have a Cockerpoo and sent pictures prior to the appointment of the summer cut we required.When I picked her up she looked like she has been cut with garden shears. The coat was uneven and lumpy. Her beard and eyelashes were gone! She had no shaping and her cute round head was now pointed, and because they cut all the hair from her face she looked malnourished and sad!On further inspection we also realised her nails hadn't been cut!They also kept me waiting at the door which was suspect.My children cried when they saw our darling pooch. Our cocker spaniel has been groomed by Adrian twice and both times we have been really happy with the communication, the cut and the service. Adrian has taken the time to talk through with me where he will dematt Enzo's coat and where he will have to shave it. I think he has the best interests of the dog at heart and I like the fact it is a small, 121 service. Enzo has always looked super puppy cute when he's left Beavertown Hounds (which isn't something other groomers have been able to achieve when they've taken his coat really short) so we will be back! I brang in my two dogs for Adrian to groom. One of the dogs who’s just turned 1 never had a grooming because he is very nervous around new people always barks etc . However Adrian was very professional and made me feel at ease and this made me feel really relieved. The dogs looked so amazing after their groom and smelled so nice . And to my surprise they was so happy when coming out of Adrians work place. The prices was also really reasonable. I’ve told all my friends who have dogs they will be booking soon also. Been taking our nervous English bulldog rescue here since we adopted him - the grooming and kind breed-specific care tips that Adrian gave us since day 1 has turned our boy around from never being groomed and in a pretty poor condition, to the glossy, healthy good boy he is now! Our nervous dog is calm here and loves his grooms with Adrian, he gets a sanitary trim and wash and nail clip, and all those pesky loose shedding hairs are no longer on my furniture as they really sort out the deshedding mess here! My family and I were recently on holiday to London for a few days. We brought my little wired-hair daschund, Cooper. Whilst we were on a walk, Cooper managed to get some chewing gum stuck in his coat. After trying to get it out as best we could, it refused to budge. We were able to make an appointment to see Adrian of Beavertown Hounds who saw us straight away. Cooper was greeted with a great attitude and the service was very professional. Adrian was a very friendly chap and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to have their dog groomed. 10/10!! More...
