We recently had the pleasure of working with Andrew Pain for a workshop focused on domestic violence and parental alienation, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. What stood out most was Andrew’s ability to handle such sensitive and complex issues with both clarity and compassion. His delivery was engaging and grounded in lived experience, which made the content resonate powerfully with the team.

The workshop had a meaningful impact on our staff, helping them better understand the nuanced dynamics of coercive control, the psychological effects of parental alienation, and how these themes show up in the context of supervised contact sessions. His insights will definitely shape how we approach and assess family interactions, particularly in identifying underlying risks that might otherwise be missed.

Andrew was an absolute professional to work with during the planning and delivery stages. He was responsive, flexible, and really took the time to understand the goals of our session. His collaboration ensured the workshop was tailored, relevant, and practical for our setting.

For any organisation working with families affected by conflict, abuse, or high-risk dynamics, I would strongly recommend booking Andrew. His content is not only thought-provoking but genuinely useful in supporting safer, more informed practice.

Can’t wait to do more workshops with him on other subjects! Thank you so much, Andrew!

I contacted Andrew after seeing him speak for another organisation on the topic of Men’s Mental Health. I was struck partly by how relatable and engaging he is as a presenter, and partly by the fact that he was offering an entirely new perspective on the topic. The mental health and wellbeing arena is full of recurring themes and concepts, often delivered in a well-meaning, empathetic, but thoroughly nondescript manner. Andrew is different, he offers real food for thought in a way that makes you feel empowered to make positive change.

I resolved immediately that if I had a chance to work with him at any point I would, and consequently engaged him to deliver two webinars for BUUK Infrastructure during our Learning at Work Week programme in May 2025 – Detoxing Masculinity to Support Men and Boys, and Challenging Imposter Syndrome.

The delivery of the webinars was flawless, with delegates commenting how instantly engaged they were, even when webinars weren’t usually their preferred learning style. Comments have included “…really interesting and professional”, “…fantastic, really engaging” and “… more talks from Andrew Pain would be fantastic, I thought both his sessions were really helpful”.

Of the Challenging Imposter Syndrome webinar, one delegate wrote that it was “…very insightful for me, it helped me understand myself more. I had never heard of Imposter Syndrome before, but it very much applies to me.”

Andrew is a dream to work with from an organisational point of view. He was responsive to calls and messages, nothing was too much trouble and if he said he would do something he did it, and within the timescales agreed.

If you are looking for a keynote speaker who will get your people having quality conversations about topics they might not ordinarily discuss, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Andrew. I am very much looking forward to working with him again as future opportunities arise.

It was a pleasure to work with Andrew. He brings passion and insight into his sessions, and doesn't just focus on the root cause of issues that effect mental health, but how to deal with them and improve our mental wellbeing. Our team loved him and those external to our organisation also found it hugely valuable. Thank you Andrew, we look forward to working with you again. More...

Andrew has delivered numerous sessions now at Sandwell College, with each being a huge success! Andrews' energetic and down-to-earth speaking style, creative talks and positive communication is always well received by our organisation. Andrew has delivered a number of workshops for us, here at BCU. The feedback we get, from staff, is fantastic every time. Their only criticism, usually, is that they would like more time with him.
His honest, personable approach to all of his workshops, enables delegates to build a trust with him, which then motivates them to engage.
Andrew is our first port of call for many subject matters. Actually, if we still used phones for actual phone calls, he would be on speed dial!
Highly recommend. If you are unsure, Andrew will take the time to find out exactly what you need and will adapt to fit your needs.

I have enjoyed working with Andrew over the past four years - to develop and deliver a broad range of virtual and in-person events for the Federation of Small Businesses. His knowledge, presentation skills and rapport with the audience have drawn praise and overwhelmingly positive reviews whatever the subject and whatever the format.

I look forward to continuing to work with Andrew to deliver successful events based upon the compelling content he delivers so well.

The next such opportunity is on October 4 2023, where Andrew will be one of a select few presenters at FSB's 'Bootcamp 4 You' event. There, he will talk about imposter syndrome - how to recognise it and how to address it. I am confident that, as always, it will be well received and valued by the hundreds of delegates we are expecting on the day.

Q&As

I love serving diverse organisations, from Yorkshire Ambulance Service to Specsavers, to Birmingham City University, Sandwell College and Gloucestershire County Council etc. I love being on my feet with groups of people, knowing that the strategies I'm sharing, are being used long after the talk has finished ... and of course, I absolutely love speaking about topics which I'm extremely passionate about!

I love the creative side of being a performer.

This includes developing rich content, ensuring that the strategies I share for dealing with burnout, developing resilience, mastering your time, overcoming imposter syndrome etc, are: a) easy to understand and use, b) powerful in developing people's skillset, c) truly original and avoiding same-old/same-old!

It also includes constant self-development as a speaker, so I continue to master my topics whilst also delivering my work in an engaging, relatable and inspirational manner.

Whilst I'm new to Bark, I've been a professional trainer for 12 years and speaker for 5. The feedback I receive from the organisations I serve (there are named testimonials available on my website and linkedin profile) speaks for itself.

Aside from the comments about my energy and passion, a common theme within the feedback, is that people appreciate the strategies I share and the usefulness of them on a day-to-day basis, strategies which they could not have predicted and which were new to them. I'm passionate about avoiding regurgitating the same old advice people have heard a 100 times before and instead, for all my niche areas, providing genuinely, fresh insight on familiar topics (motivation, time, resilience, burnout etc)

Yes, 70% of my work is online, usually via Teams, Zoom and GotoWebinar. I'm equally comfortable in-person or online.

My entire service is available online (inc 1-2-1 coaching, group coaching and keynote speaking) and I continue to keep up to date with government guidance for managing and preventing COVID.

Services

Professional speaker serving diverse groups, delivering content-rich and original keynote talks, to inspire people and equip them with easy-to-use strategies, so they can operate at their best.

1) As part of my customer care, I provide a free promotional video for your event, which you can use internally to engage your team/delegates.

2) I deliver in-person and online, and when delivering online, I am comfortable with a range of delivery styles, from formal presentational style (ending with questions and answers) to an informal style, responding to the chat throughout, the session and utilising polls etc

3) I never deliver the same talk twice. Whilst I have my niche areas, I tailor each talk to the need of the client. All my content is my own, and thus, all my talks can also be experienced as longer workshops, and I can flex to meet the time parameters you provide.

4) Whilst I'm new to Bark, as an experienced speaker, there are many named testimonials on my Linkedin profile and website, and as part of reducing your risk and enabling you to see me as a speaker, I create and post a short video about the topics I specialise in, each working day.
