Which is why I created the Abbie Dillon Wellbeing programme with beginners and those returning back to exercise in mind.

5 stars for FitFunActive. Highly recommend. I started 1-2-1 sessions with Darren in September 2024 and am happy to report that I'm still going strong and not intending to quit any time soon. Darren is one of those rare PTs who has it all: he knows his stuff, is positive and fun to be around and is genuinely invested in his client’s success. Above all, he is ultra professional: on time, fully present (not on his phone or God forbid doing his own workout alongside me – yikes!) and always ready to adapt or swap any given exercise if the need arises. I personally appreciate his detailed record keeping of where I am at (how heavy/sets/reps etc.) which allows for consistent progress without guess work. His communication skills are second to none. I feel heard which then translates to workouts that are entirely tailored to my expectations. The gym itself might not have every piece of equipment that a larger commercial gym may have, but Darren is super creative and will come up with a way to ensure each muscle group is targeted. There is a clean toilet, parking spaces and water available. As a cherry on top, I oftentimes come to the gym with my 8-year-old daughter which Darren has always been more than OK with. I have a big birthday coming up this year and decided to work on myself both physically and mentally. I was looking for something new and it just so happened that Darren from FitFunActive had it. He had set a challenge to climb the Yorkshire 3 Peaks which involved climbing 3 mountains, included walking for 24 miles and spending the weekend away. As soon as I heard about this I signed up straight away.While preparing for the event I enrolled in some strength training classes with Darren. The classes focused on building our strength and stamina and although we trained as a group Darren very skillfully catered to all of our individual needs and abilities. Throughout the sessions he adapted the workouts for us whilst making sure he maintained a safe and fun environment.When the 3 Peaks challenge came around I felt prepared for it, largely due to the group sessions with Darren as this enabled me to build confidence and get to know the people who would be walking with me.We stayed for 2 nights in a lovely local pub. I completed the challenge in about 12 hours along with Darren and the other members of the group while offering each other words of encouragement. Although we were one big group I sometimes walked with other people but I also walked alone. I found this time alone very valuable as it gave me time to reflect on my journey and think about the future.While walking, Darren made sure that he spent time with each of us individually and it was nice getting to know him on a more personal level . I think the best thing for me about the weekend was obviously completing the challenge, but also spending time with people of different ages and backgrounds who I wouldn't necessarily have met if it wasn't for the challenge. I’ve been doing weekly private training sessions with Darren for coming up 2 years now and I cannot recommend him enough. He’s accommodated my request for very early sessions and each one involves varied workouts that Darren has built around my fitness goals . Darren adapts the sessions based on what I want to achieve and meticulously tracks weights/reps for every exercise making progress easy to see. Reaching 50 and following some long term ‘desk time’ I decided that getting fitter was well overdue. I met the FitFunActive team at one of their Couch to 5k programmes a couple of years ago. I was so impressed by their professionalism and attitude I have been attending the Small Group training ever since. You can buy sessions in blocks which are reasonably priced and convenient and although it's a 'group' session - your programme is completely tailored to your own goals and progression. So it is really more like having a great Personal Trainer at an affordable rate. I have been working with Darren who is extremely knowledgeable and informative and balances a serious approach to training with an approachable manner which keeps the sessions challenging but fun. Following spinal surgery 10-months ago, which had left me weak, and with a semi-permanent foot condition, I was very pleased to discover FunFitActive in April 2023. At that time my morale was low and I needed to break the cycle of inactivity to become mobile again. I've been doing the small group PT for about 4 months and could not possibly be any happier. Darren is a fantastic trainer for any possible goal. There are max 6 in each class, each with their own training program, that changes weekly, focused on their specific goal. Darren handles everything from massive strength gains, to injuries and rehab, weight loss, or sports performance. Really interesting to see how tailored each program is. I had been strength training for a few years but have seen big improvements in my strength and form. I think the price is extremely fair for how personalised and small the classes are. Darren, and all the coaches, are all really nice, and coach in a very positive way. You won't leave here feeling bad about yourself. I highly recommend this place to anyone who want to get in shape. I have been doing some 1-2-1session with Darren twice a week. Darren is really helpful and make you feel comfortable. Darren is an extremely positive and motivational presence, he has been incredibly supportive of my ever-changing work pattern and adapted around my lifestyle. I help client's reach their goals by using different tracking methods. When you sign up to my services you will recieve a free e-book which alongside fitness, we track and look at sleep, nutriton, stress and hydration, which all have an effect on our progress. I will also ask for feedback and ask how my clients are feeling and adjust programmes accordingly.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
The secret, I don't know if its a secret but it isn't just the body of your dreams, but also giving you the mindset of feeling confident and proud of who you are. With consistency and small changes you can achieve what you want to achieve.

I love seeing people become healthier and happier with who they are. I love to see my clients progress, and I love making exercise fun.

Personal Training Packages (1-2-1)
With our 1-2-1 sessions, my attention will be on you and only you. The packages will include 1 hour sessions (either 4,6, or 10), where we will work on a fitness plan tailored to your needs, goals and abilites. This package will also give you access to your very own PT hub profile, where you can track all your workouts (inside and outside the gym), nutrition and measurements. As well as this, upon sign up you will recieve your own ebooklet that has different mindset tools to help you create healthy habits focused on sleep, stress, nutrtion and hydration - to help you create the healthy lifestyle you desire.
Small Group PT sessions.
Every Tuesday and Thursday.
Our group PT comes with all the benefits of our personal training packages, the only difference is your sessions will take place with a maximum of 6 other members. Your workout will be personalised, you will just have a little bit more independance when working out within the sessions. Again these come as a pack of 4, 6 and 10.
