9 BROTHERS PAINTING

This is the second time I’ve asked 9 Brothers to paint for me. This time they did my whole flat (a reasonably big job including all walls, ceilings, doors, moulding, skirting and windows).

They're great at small jobs - a room here and there - or big jobs too. The first time I used them was to redecorate the entire common staircase of the Edinburgh tenement (completed in 8 days).

They’re very professional. They turn up on time, keep their promises and give useful advice. They even helped me move heavy furniture back into place once the job was done.

Both times they’ve cleaned up after themselves really well, vacuuming all the filler dust and old paint, then mopping the floors so everything’s left spotless.

Their quotes have been much lower than other painters, but the quality of their work is excellent. One of the team also does plastering, so any damaged walls are properly repaired before painting.

They take real care to protect floors and furniture and always treat the property with respect.

I’ll definitely keep using them and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled painters. More...

Overall, I Ahmet did a good job and I would recommend him and his crew to others as the pros for me cover the cons. My flat definitely looks much better than before the paint job :)

Pros:
* Extremely quick to respond and answer any questions
* Quote was solidly lower than other quotes I have received
* Visited and gave quote pretty much the next day from contact
* Started work very promptly and finished a whole 3 bedroom flat with doors and skiting boards in under a week
* Adapted to my selection of paint without changing their initial quote
* Ahmet is an extremely nice guy

Cons:
* Post paint cleanup was honestly not that great, I have got a decent amount of paint over my window frames, door handles, hinges, and flooring, while not impossible to clean, it's a lot of bits here and there and I haven't managed to clean all of them yet (would probably take a few hours)
* Communication wasn't very clear sometimes, English is my second language too so I am not judging based on that, but for very specific bits I sometimes wasn't able to get my point across More...

Cannot recommended Ahmet and his team enough! He painted my shop a few years ago and so I knew who to call when I needed my new house done. Dear Mina, thank you for your 4-star review. Yes, as you mentioned, the plastic window frames were painted. The new employee I hired forgot to cover them with tape. This was his last job anyway. Since it was an easy place to clean, we cleaned it right away when he showed us. Other than that, we fulfilled all your requests. You and your wife were happy, and we left happily. We thanked you for having your house painted and left. We didn't make any mistakes that would bother you. You're moving to a new house, and a little cleaning is needed, of course, beyond our control. 9 Brothers Painting (Ahmet) was wonderful to have decorating my new flat. We had two bedrooms with 3 walls and a feature wall in each, a bathroom completely painted and a feature wall in our living room. He was able to squeeze us in so that the decorating was finished whilst the flat was empty prior to moving everything in. Ahmet was really friendly, fantastic with our puppy who was investigating her new home and chatty with my teenage son (who loves his new bedroom). He kept me updated on arrival, progress and completion times. His work was of wonderful quality and he put in a lot of hours to complete the job, even finishing early. He protected our new carpets so no paint splashes on them which was great, let us know there was leftover paint and left the place immaculate. He also very kindly accepted some deliveries of new furniture in my absence, a great extra that was much appreciated. We used Ahmet 2 years ago on our flat and used him again for our own 3 bedroom house.
He is very experienced and a good decorator.
He did all walls&ceilings, and woodworks.
He also did some additional repairs for us. Definitely recommend him.

9 Brothers responded to a request for quote promptly. They attended site at the arranged time, quoted and then completed the work quickly and to a lovely standard. Very happy with the work.

Dear Sunil, Each painter's price is different. You have the right to choose the painter who offers the price you want. You are free to choose. But this is the first time in 23 years that I have seen a customer commenting on the price I paid. You can comment to me, but only after I paint your house. You will harm me with this comment. Ahmet turned up when he said he would, he quoted and started the job really quickly. It was no hassle when I changed my mind on the colour of the hall when he’d already done one coat. Would happily have him back.

Ah! Ahmet, Ahmet, Ahmet what can I say about this chap. Contacted me via Bark on Friday personally and surprise surprise started the job on Monday morning well you can tell a professional as soon as he appears. He wasted no time in getting started by covering everything in clean dust sheets even though I had wrapped everything in polythene covers. He painted the ceiling and walls first day did all the woodwork the second, he never stops even came back in the evening to finish off a few bits he wasn't happy with.
An absolute gentleman treats your home as his own nothing too much trouble. He's not the cheapest but hey you get what you pay for. I would recomend this true professional to anyone. Thanks again Ahmet for a great job done in record time. More...

They painted whole house in 3 days. Our walls were horrible because of the weird wallpaper but they’ve done an excellent job. They were quick, professional and lovely.
