Fantastic online coaching and programming for Olympic Weightlifting. I have experienced a dramatic increase in how much I am able to lift, as well as a massive improvement in technique. Allan is very knowledgeable and available. He's enthusiasm for fitness is incredibly infectious.

Allan has been fantastic in helping me return the gym for the first time in over 10 years. his technique and lifting knowledge, comprehensive gym session plans and personable attitude have made the return easy and enjoyable. I'm now lifting better and heavier than I have ever before and really enjoying the experience. Also his help in recovery for my injury has been fantastic. cannot recommend highly enough.

I've been training with Allan for the last few months and can honestly say it's been excellent. Not only have all of my lifts increased across the board, but my confidence with more technical movements has improved too. Allan's knowledge of movement, specifically Olympic Lifting, is brilliant.

He's a great programmer too, putting in time to get to know my goals and current levels, to ensure what I'm doing in each session is on point and pushing me in the right direction.

He's also honest and super passionate about fitness. I've had a lot of different coaches in the past and if there's one thing that seperates the really excellent ones, it's honesty and passion. You can't beat it.

I have been training for a while now and thought I would give weightlifting a go, Allan was recommended to me and thought I will get a few sessions in to get me started. It's only been a few months but the progress I have made has been amazing not to mention how much I've learned. He's a great coach who loves to train and it shows with his knowledge and understanding that people are individuals and need to be coached that way.

I've been training with Allan of Breakthrough Performance for 2 years. My initial goals were to get stronger and learn how to lift, pull, squat and press with good form, the fundamentals, Today I am stronger than I thought I ever could be, I am confident to perform lifts on my own without fear of injury.. Allan always encourages me to be better, he is friendly, approachable, down to earth, professional and very knowledgeable, I always look forward to my session. I came to breakthrough performance with the goal of increasing my strength, fitness and familiarity with strong man events. Allan came highly recommended with his background in both strongman events and Olympic weightlifting.

Allan provided me with workout plans which he updated regularly, nutrition advice, as well as private one to one tuition.

Over the course of the 10 sessions with Allan my strength and stamina dramatically increased. Allan spent a great deal of time to identify my weaknesses and incorporated exercises to improve technique and strength. As well as working on technical lifts such as atlas stones and log press. All of which came on leaps and bounds under Allan's tuition.

I'd highly recommend Allan to anyone looking to improve their strength and fitness as he provides a friendly atmosphere to work in and a varied routine to keep you challenged and motivated throughout.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

We agree on a plan of action that is tried and tested. I'll help you find the way that works for you, is enjoyable and most importantly we'll work together to keep you accountable. That means we will constantly be adjusting and making sure you are on the right path to achieving your goals.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Consistent hard work. You will fail time and time again but the key is to learn from those mistakes. Look at them as opportunities to grow and learn and you will become unstoppable.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the problem solving nature of being able to help figure out the intricacies of you as a personal so that we can figure out a sustainable routine to get you on the path to success.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I started my own business as I felt the fitness industry was failing not only the average consumer but also the personal trainers and everyone involved. Most big chain gyms don't really care about you or whether you achieve your goals, they only care that you continue to pay your monthly membership. As I actually care about you and your goals, I make it my obligation to help you achieve them no matter what. Once you have reached your goals you should be in a position where you know what it takes to maintain them and no longer need the help of a trainer so often.
