How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

First, I help women define their personal goals, which should be specific, realistic, and measurable.

Then from there, we establish a plan of action. My part includes developing a workout program that fits the client's schedule (i.e. busy mom, professional woman, etc.), equipment (i.e. gym or at home), and availability (i.e. number of days that workouts can realistically happen).

We then connect at least weekly to see how things are going and to make adjustments, if needed. I also offer nutritional support, as well as encourage the mindset of giving ourselves grace.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

The secret? Time! Consistency. Viewing the effort as a true lifestyle change rather than a "get fit quick!" routine.

If women want to free themselves from the yo-yo, then the change must occur slowly and over a decent amount of time.

We also have to remind ourselves that we're human, and that we are stronger than we think!

What do you love most about your job?

My favorite part of this job is empowering women, especially moms, to create the time and space to build strength- inside and out! I love encouraging women to see that any effort- big or small- towards self-improvement is a big deal!

I also love hearing women share their wins over time, as well as bringing about the positive perspective when it might be hard to find in a situation. It's all about the connection and authenticity that brings the most success in this field. That's what I look for, that's what I give, and that's what I hope to receive in return as each client builds on her own strength.

What inspired you to start your own business?

On January 24, 2017, my life completely changed, as I realized how broken I’d become-mentally, spiritually, socially, and physically- because of alcohol. On that sunny afternoon, I made a choice- I decided to it was time that I started to live on my own terms rather than by the terms of another wine bottle. I broke up with the booze, and have been striving to become Teetotally Fit ever since!

This change did not come easily, especially at the beginning, so I quickly leaned into my fitness routine to start bettering my overall health. Fitness has always served as an outlet for me, even as a teenager. However, this outlet of mine has now grown into a passion, and one I LOVE sharing with others.

After working as a high school counselor for over four years, I returned to school to earn a Masters in Exercise Science with a focus in Wellness and Fitness. In addition, I got certified as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, as well IAPRC Certified Life Coach. I'm also diligently working on my Recovery Coach Certification through IAPRC and She Recovers.

Outside of my professional titles, I am a proud Air Force wife, as well as a mommy to three fun-loving, energetic kiddos, ages 6, 5 and 3.

Supporting and serving others is without a doubt both my passion and my gift, so it would be my pleasure to help you wherever you may lie in your Teetotally Fit journey!
