My wife and I could not be happier with our choice for our big day in November. MakeLightWork were flawless and - apparently - grotesquely under-priced! Not that I complained at the time of course. I assume this is because they are a fairly newly established operation looking to make a name for themselves. We found Vanessa at a Wedding Event hosted by the Lysses - the venue we actually ended up picking - and the samples spoke for themselves.
Mike and Vanessa were as friendly as they were professional. They were completely transparent throughout the day so we didn't notice them doing what they do, they provided a huge number of professional quality high resolution photos without watermarks (even the previews received before payment weren't marked), they were able to converse with all our guests in a subtle but efficient manner and the combination of Mike's warmly commanding presence and Vanessa's stealthy and intuitive "stalker shots" gave us a brilliant variety of real photos that fully documented our special day.
They were just so easy to work with that they made our big day go more smoothly, and all the little bits and pieces we didn't even think of... they did. Whenever I asked them to look after something during the day they were totally competent and I had complete trust in them both. A poor photographer would really prove a problem, but this was thankfully not the case.
With all the shots in my possession I am pleased to say we have all the shot types we wanted including specifically requested artistic shots as well as the standard shots of key moments. We opted for an additional hard back album which they put together and it too was excellent value. We'll be ordering a few more for family.
In general communication was excellent too. Minor alterations' were done for us at no extra charge. Previews were made available over FTP but we were offered physical media too. High res shots came on DVD. Nothing was ever too much work for them.
