My wife Sam and I hired Mike and Vanessa to film our wedding day last October, and we can honestly say it's the best money we have ever spent. The film they created of our special day was simply stunning, it absolutely blew us away. They both perfectly understood the type of people we are and the type of day we wanted and they captured it beautifully and skillfully. We have watched the film over and over again as have our families, and everyone keeps crying and remarking how brilliant it is. The filming, editing and the music backdrop were all perfection.
Mike and Vanessa, thank you so much for being part of the day, and thank you for sharing your gifts with us, not only have you given us a momento we can treasure forever, but Grace will be able to keep forever too. These people are heaven sent. From the first second we engaged them for our wedding, to last night when they went home from the reception, they worked tirelessly and were incredible to have. We are so lucky and honoured Mike and Vanessa, to have had you both. You were a joy and a privilege to work for us and it made us so much calmer knowing you were there. We are SO excited to see the results we can barely contain ourselves! If anyone in the country has any thoughts about a photographer for their wedding, these people are the ones you want. Seriously, we have no words for how happy you both made us! We would do it again in a heartbeat and involve you again. I am a full time DJ and I can fully assure any future prospective clients that this couple are not only professional in the field but lovely to be around also. When it comes to weddings especially in my opinion it is very important you click with your photographer/photographers because they will be around all day! Lastly it's very important to note that not only their pictures are fabulous but as a team of two they have the advantage of being able to catch the same shots at different angles as opposed to a singular photographer....
My advice is, if you get on with them then don't look any further! More...

My wife and I could not be happier with our choice for our big day in November. MakeLightWork were flawless and - apparently - grotesquely under-priced! Not that I complained at the time of course. I assume this is because they are a fairly newly established operation looking to make a name for themselves. We found Vanessa at a Wedding Event hosted by the Lysses - the venue we actually ended up picking - and the samples spoke for themselves.Mike and Vanessa were as friendly as they were professional. They were completely transparent throughout the day so we didn't notice them doing what they do, they provided a huge number of professional quality high resolution photos without watermarks (even the previews received before payment weren't marked), they were able to converse with all our guests in a subtle but efficient manner and the combination of Mike's warmly commanding presence and Vanessa's stealthy and intuitive "stalker shots" gave us a brilliant variety of real photos that fully documented our special day.They were just so easy to work with that they made our big day go more smoothly, and all the little bits and pieces we didn't even think of... they did. Whenever I asked them to look after something during the day they were totally competent and I had complete trust in them both. A poor photographer would really prove a problem, but this was thankfully not the case.With all the shots in my possession I am pleased to say we have all the shot types we wanted including specifically requested artistic shots as well as the standard shots of key moments. We opted for an additional hard back album which they put together and it too was excellent value. We'll be ordering a few more for family.In general communication was excellent too. Minor alterations' were done for us at no extra charge. Previews were made available over FTP but we were offered physical media too. High res shots came on DVD. Nothing was ever too much work for them.I cannot recommend them enough - you really won't be disappointed if you book them for your big day.Oh yes, and ask them about sparklers... they've got a knack for it!Thanks again,Adam & Janet More...
