My two rescue dogs and I had a brilliant training session with Lily yesterday. the dogs obviously felt very comfortable with her and she managed to balance her obvious knowledge and expertise with a friendly, yet businesslike approach. and today the dogs were so much better behaved! We've booked more sessions and I look forward to learning loads more and, of course, to having impeccably behaved dogs!

We have been working with Steve since our puppy’s vaccinations were complete, and are so pleased with the results. His puppy classes have led to day to day behaviour improvements and made the often tough process of raising a puppy much much simpler. His 1-2-1 lessons have allowed us to focus in on some problem areas, and he is a master of working through issues and helping us implement solutions that we can work on daily with our pup. I highly recommend any new puppy owner to work with Positive Paws!

We are a dog home boarding agency and I am a qualified dog trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers offering 1-2-1 consultations to help you and your dog with a variety of training and behavioural issues. I understand there can be difficulties to overcome when owning a dog and that training is crucial in helping your dog fit into your home and your family. Using only positive reinforcement methods I can help with basic training such as pulling on the lead, recall, general obedience, puppy issues etc or with behavioural issues such as barking, reactivity to other dogs, anxiety and many more.

My very shy puppy has really come out of her shell in the 6 weeks of puppy foundation training - Steve really helped with that from day 1. This is an easy paced course that lets you learn how to make sure your puppy listens to you and responds to you (as long as you put the training time outside the class!). Well worth the journey and the car-sick dog!!

Huge thank you to Dave and Gentlelead for their amazing donation to Spaniel Aid UK. We received a lovely bundle of leads and headcollars, plus a voucher as the lucky winners of a recent facebook competition. The story and ethos behind Gentlelead is very touching, and their donation to our charity will help enormously. Kind Regards, Claire and all at Spaniel Aid UK
At Whiz n Wag we love to teach with fun and mutual respect. Dogs learn best when they're having fun, and training through games, teaches them long term skills that they will carry for life! If you only address surface level problems without looking at the root cause, these issues will pop up time and time again through different behaviours. Many games involve problem-solving, memory, and decision-making, stimulating dogs' cognitive functions.

I understand how hard it can be to train your dog I have found that many dog owners have the same issues and worries about their pets. They may struggle with loose-lead walking, have a dog who barks at other dogs on walks, or worry about leaving them home alone. Whatever the issue is that you have, I can guarantee that you're not the only one - even though it may seem that way.

I know exactly what it's like to share your life with an unruly canine - Three years ago, I was there. Now, that same canine is still in my life... but I am able to enjoy her! Between us, we chew sticks, chase cats, and spend countless hours studying the most modern dog training theory and practice, so we can figure out how to understand each other a little better, and help others out there rescue their relationships with their four-legged friends too. So many dogs end up re-homed, abandoned or even euthanized because of behaviour that can be rectified with the right knowledge and perseverance. I love nothing more than walking into a home with a 'problem' dog, and leaving behind a happy one.
The catalyst behind Listen Dog Training, Nova is my inspiration, my companion, my guinea pig and - sometimes - my worst nightmare. But she has taught me more about dogs than any other canine I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and every obstacle we've faced and overcome in the past three years has spurred me on to continue discovering new and effective ways to transform the lives of frustrated dog-owners and their four-legged friends.
Nova is barking proof that a difficult dog should never be written off!

I have lived with dogs, big and small (sometimes simultaneously!) since I was 7 years old – and from those very early days I just knew I wanted to spend my life surrounded by these clever, loyal, fascinating and downright hilarious creatures!
I have studied canine behaviour intensively for the past two years, and will be offering bespoke training packages in 2016. Over the course of my studies, I’ve voluntarily worked with a wide range of dogs to broaden my experience, get my hands dirty, and help others enjoy the fantastic kind of relationship with their dog that can be achieved with a little bit of effort... and a sprinkling of cooked chicken!
As a full professional member of the PPG, I am an advocate of modern, positive training - science has proven that dogs learn most successfully when they are happy, so at Listen Dog we put the effort in to make sure training and rehabilitation is enjoyable for everyone - including the dog!
Tailored to you, your family, your life and your dog, every one of our private consultations is unique, and you will receive a personalised comprehensive written training plan, as well as one-to-one guidance, training, and support.
I hold all the necessary training qualifications, experience, comprehensive insurance and a CRB disclosure.
