Having just started our training with our little dog Marley, listen dog training have really been amazing from the get go. Answering all of our questions, and assisting us with anything we need. They reply instantly and really know what theyre doing, making everything alot clearer and easier for us. After having spent alot of time trying to find a really good dog trainer to give us exactly what we wanted, we're so happy to have found listen dog training. What do you love most about your job?
I know exactly what it's like to share your life with an unruly canine - Three years ago, I was there. Now, that same canine is still in my life... but I am able to enjoy her! Between us, we chew sticks, chase cats, and spend countless hours studying the most modern dog training theory and practice, so we can figure out how to understand each other a little better, and help others out there rescue their relationships with their four-legged friends too. So many dogs end up re-homed, abandoned or even euthanized because of behaviour that can be rectified with the right knowledge and perseverance. I love nothing more than walking into a home with a 'problem' dog, and leaving behind a happy one.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The catalyst behind Listen Dog Training, Nova is my inspiration, my companion, my guinea pig and - sometimes - my worst nightmare. But she has taught me more about dogs than any other canine I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and every obstacle we've faced and overcome in the past three years has spurred me on to continue discovering new and effective ways to transform the lives of frustrated dog-owners and their four-legged friends.

Why should our clients choose you?
I have lived with dogs, big and small (sometimes simultaneously!) since I was 7 years old – and from those very early days I just knew I wanted to spend my life surrounded by these clever, loyal, fascinating and downright hilarious creatures!
I have studied canine behaviour intensively for the past two years, and will be offering bespoke training packages in 2016. Over the course of my studies, I’ve voluntarily worked with a wide range of dogs to broaden my experience, get my hands dirty, and help others enjoy the fantastic kind of relationship with their dog that can be achieved with a little bit of effort... and a sprinkling of cooked chicken!
As a full professional member of the PPG, I am an advocate of modern, positive training - science has proven that dogs learn most successfully when they are happy, so at Listen Dog we put the effort in to make sure training and rehabilitation is enjoyable for everyone - including the dog!

I hold all the necessary training qualifications, experience, comprehensive insurance and a CRB disclosure.
