Great Content.
Whatever line of work you’re in, chances are there are loads of other businesses offering something similar. Try this: Google “plumber Devon” or “restaurant Exeter.” You’ll get pages and pages of results. And all of those websites will be saying pretty much the same thing, which makes it difficult for a customer to choose who they want to work with.
Even if you’re smashing Google… you're top page one, brilliant. Customers will still click on three or four websites before they decide. And if they’re all saying the same thing, how do they choose?
That’s where we come in.

The first thing we ask is what success looks like for you. What do you want your website to achieve – more enquiries, stronger branding, easier updates? From there, we’ll explore your audience and what makes your business unique. Jeff will look at how the design can support your goals, while Jennie will start shaping how your story is told through the words. We always want to understand not just what you do, but why you do it.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing everything come together, when a client’s website finally feels like them. Jeff loves the craft of design and the problem-solving that comes with it; Jennie loves the writing, finding the right tone and rhythm to bring a business to life. It’s that combination – design and content working side by side – that makes what we do so rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We both came from publishing backgrounds, so storytelling has always been part of what we do. Over time, we saw how many websites looked the part but didn’t 'say' much. We wanted to change that, to create websites that blend strong visuals with honest, well-written words. That’s how We Make Media began, and it’s still what drives us today.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because we care about getting it right. We don’t churn out template sites or one-size-fits-all designs. Jeff designs every website by hand, with attention to detail and usability. Jennie crafts the copy so it sounds natural and genuine. Together, we help businesses tell their story clearly and confidently – without jargon, gimmicks or guesswork.

Yes, absolutely. We’re based in Devon but work with clients all over the UK. Most of our meetings happen over Zoom, and we share visuals and content drafts online so you can see your website taking shape in real time. Whether you’re local or further afield, we’ll make the process feel easy and personal from start to finish.
