We recently lost our heating and hot water, so we contacted Slaters Plumbing. Nick, the owner, came out within a couple of hours and managed to get us temporarily up and running. After assessing the situation, it was clear that we needed a new boiler.We had an old heating system that needed converting to a combi boiler, along with the installation of new radiators. Slaters were able to start the work the very same week, which was fantastic.Shawn and Jordan were brilliant from start to finish. They got straight to work and grafted non-stop throughout the job. They were polite, professional, and took great care in our home, using carpet protectors throughout and keeping everything clean and tidy.We were extremely impressed with the quality of their workmanship and the final result. Very expensive and very unhelpful. Asked someone to come round and help us as our heating wouldn’t turn off. In the initial phone call the charge was not explained correctly so there was a misunderstanding in the price of the call out charge. There is also no mention of the call out fee on their website and you do not get a quote via email before anyone comes out. When the guys came out, they told us there was nothing wrong with the boiler and it was a thermostat issue they could not help with and left. 3 days later we get an invoice for £108 call out fee! Recently moved into a new house and they were quick to contact us with a quote for a new boiler which was the best offer we had received! They were quick to get us booked in and within no time we had a new boiler. Ashley was the plumber who installed it, he provided guidance and answered any questions we had. Following this service we asked about a shower pump (as our shower was gravity fed). They had us booked in quickly again and our shower pump was installed at OUR earliest convenience. Just had Slater Plumbing & Heating replacing our back boiler with a combi boiler, was sceptical at first as I know nothing about gas etc and as a pensioners we were worried about being ripped off and maybe shoddy workmanship but I need not have worried as the two lads who did the job were exceptional (Dan and apprentice Jordon) nothing was too much trouble, turned up on time, cleaned up and left the house as they found it, even after two days of the job being completed we had a problem with the gas and Dan came out straight away but it was nothing to do with Slaters as it was a hair line fracture on the main gas unit (Gas meter) , Dan stayed and made sure the emergency gas people were informed and were on their way, subsequently they replaced the gas meter box which was leaking, thank you Dan and Nick Slater for your superb service would highly recommend this company.
