Excellent service. Very pleased with all the work undertaken by Stephen. Initially, there was heavy work to do - felling trees, clearing overgrown areas and, later, planting.
He arrived with the appropriate and specialised equipment needed, removed garden waste and ensured safety at all times.
We have been very impressed with First Cut - Gardening Service and will continue to use when specialist service will be needed. Having undertaken the heavy work Stephen helped us appreciate that the lighter work, required handover to regular day to day gardening.

I have one extremely difficult problem to handle and that is the cost of this service. I have normally paid between £15 and £20 per hour for previous gardeners . Here my first payment for 2/2half hours work £75!! I will have to see if I can manage this. More...

You will find I have been honest, clear and transparent at all times, in which your review does not really potray that you were informed of everything at all times.

I am so glad I found First Cut Gardening Services Stephen and his wife have done a wonderful job on the jungle that my garden was turning into and Stephen really knows his stuff and is happy to share his advice with the customer. Grass Cutting and Lawn Care
Grass cutting is still our main requested service, we have various types of grass cutting equipment that allows us to cut grass on any terrain to all required standards that best suits your garden
Trimming Hedges and Bushes
Carry out hedge trimming in October and you will forget about it, then all of a sudden July, August you look up and its gone wild again.
As part of out Gardening Services we carry out hedge trimming and pruning of shrubs and bushes every time we service your garden, so everything looks neat and tidy all the time.
Pruning Tree Branches
We are not insured to carry out any tree felling, but we do carry out pruning of tree branches with our extendable saw and pruning poles up to the height of 6 meters.
Clearing Overgrown Areas
We have all the equipment to clear long grass, nettles, brambles and wild self seeded saplings, we can cut back overgrown hedges and fallen branches, we can help you win back your garden.
Removing Plants, Shrubs and Bushes
As gardeners we all place plants in the ground to make our garden look better, but sometimes the plants become to big, or they self seed into other parts of the garden, as hard as it is sometimes, the best thing for the garden and the other plants is to remove some of the plants and allow the light in, give other plants in your garden some room.
Best time for this type of work is November to March as the plants can be re-planted elsewhere of given to your friends.
Cultivating Soil in Beds and Borders for Planting
We can help in getting your beds ready for planting, this can be a labouriers job at the best of times but in a few months can give the best results
Edging and Border Lines
If you like your lawn to look good after cutting the grass, edging around the hard surface areas such as footpaths and kerb lines, and a vertical cut alongside your borders, does finishes off the grass area in a professional manner.
For professional lawnsmiths this is just as important as cutting the grass itself as it has such a stunning effect.

Weed Suppression with Mulch or Stone on Geotextile
Weeding is a laborious job in any garden, we do offer a weeding service where we also place bark mulch onto the soil to suppress the weeds. The area does become a much lower maintenance after this is done.

It nice to have a change in the garden now and again. We can offer a landscaping service where we can work with you to build the garden you require over a period of time.
Or we can follow a landscaping design and follow the design you have chosen for you garden and carry out all the work from start to finish.
