I contacted this company to arrange a site visit for a rat infestation in my loft bedroom ceiling. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish.

For the initial visit, the contractor arrived an hour late, which was frustrating as I had taken time off work to be present. They accessed the loft space by removing drop lights, but did not appear to know how to do this properly, resulting in minor damage. I ended up taking over to prevent further issues, despite not being qualified to do so.

They laid bait without properly inspecting the loft space. I had clearly explained that the rats were likely in the ceiling void of the top-floor bedroom, yet the contractor did not bring a camera or any suitable equipment to assess the area before proceeding.

It was then suggested that the rats may be entering via the neighbour’s loft, and I was advised to arrange a follow-up visit. When I called back four weeks later to progress this, I specifically mentioned that access to the neighbour’s loft would require a ladder.

The second contractor did not have a ladder - they asked to borrow one from me... A further visit had to be arranged the same day, an hour late. When they eventually accessed the neighbour’s loft, they were hesitant and initially unsure whether it connected to our property, despite this being a key part of the issue. After I demonstrated this externally, they agreed it was connected.

They then contradicted the first contractor by stating that the ceiling would need to be cut into, which had not previously been suggested. This inconsistency further reduced my confidence in their expertise.

I contacted the company again to request a clear plan and a third opinion. I was told they would call me back, but it has now been over a week with no response.

Meanwhile, the rat problem remains unresolved.

Overall, this has been a very poor experience—missed expectations, lack of preparation, inconsistent advice, and no follow-up. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. More...

As a professional pest control company, our staff are not permitted to take or interfere with any customer property. We also asked if you had any evidence—such as CCTV, photos, or videos—so that we could investigate further and, if appropriate, issue a refund. You mentioned the missing item was a vape valued at around £15, and we explained that it may have been moved, misplaced, or stored elsewhere, especially as other members of the household may have access to the area. We always aim to maintain professionalism, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
