I have been coming here since they opened in November 2017 and I love it. The trainers Kevin and Jeff are amazing and really take the time to make sure that you are doing the exercise right. They work with you to make sure you use the proper weight, and keep track of it. Then after a few weeks they have you up your weights, so that you are always improving. They encourage you to do your best and compliment you even when you only get a little bit better. Which makes you want to work harder. They were even able to switch the 5pm class to 5:15pm so that my sister and I could make it to it. (We don't get off until 5pm) Our mom goes to the 6pm class. The maximum amount of people in a class is 8, but a lot of times there are only one or two people in a class so you get a lot of personal treatment. Plus I've lost about 8 pounds with no change in dieting. That may not sound like a lot but before this gym I went to another gym for a year and a half. I was the same weight when I ended the gym as I was when I started. The only time I lost weight there was when I paid to get on a special diet program where they cut out all my carbs. It all came back. Another great thing about this gym is you sign up for appointment times, so it actually pushes you more to go. Places like in-shape you can go any time and therefore end up going not so much. This gym I at least go 3 times a week but I strive for 5 days.

I've been going to this dojo for ~6 months & the Integrated Fighting System (IFS) classes are exactly what I was looking for. It mixes the best self-defense parts of Western Boxing, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kempo & street smarts,There are really no katas in the class, just drills in real street threat scenarios. This includes deescalation, multiple attackers, facing guns & knives & going to the ground. it goes from fighting dirty against a stronger opponent, to safely managing your drunk uncle. Doug is the class master. He is so patient at teaching people at all skill levels on how to use the relevant parts from his decades of training. He also makes the class fun! Lance is another excellent IFS instructor, with vast knowledge & great teaching style. If your looking to learn martial arts & boxing in a no nonsense self defense class, this is it.
