How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

I take a Holistic total lifestyle approach, and I help my clients implement this approach into their life.
I start with the areas that clients are ready to make changes in and build on their success.

I start at an appropriate level in all modalities so clients don't get injured and experience consistent success. For example, many people injure knees lunging because they don't have the strength of coordination to lunge correctly. I use developmental exercises when needed to build strength and coordination first, and then progress the client when they have the skills to perform and activity or task.

I build nutrition plans around a clients budget, lifestyle, and available time.

I ask clients each visit what are they successful at and what is difficult. This way together we come up with ideas to be successful in all areas.

I treat my clients like my best friend. I don't judge or think poorly of them for who they are and what they do.
I ask my clients what they want to accomplish and I show them the path on how to reach their goals, how to make the choices that lead to success.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Step one is having a clear picture of what the dream is and having passion and purpose for the dream.
Second is clarity on what the clients values are and do the values match the dream.
Third is maintaining balance in your life so you can make the choices that lead to your dreams.
Fourth is implementing a program that matches the goals, dreams and values of the client.
Fifth is watching the results of following the program.
Sixth is progressing and adjusting the program as needed to reach and then maintain the clients dream goals.

Example: If I want to be a world class athlete and that is my dream.
Yes my values can fit with that dream, but no I cannot maintain balance in my life. I have a wife and Son that I want to spend time with and clients I want to coach and help them achieve their dreams. I was a world class athlete, but balance in my life means being happy with a state or regional Champion at this time in my life.

What do you love most about your job?

Watching the transformation of my clients from the painful not happy person that first comes to me, to the happy healthy person, living their dream, and doing all the things they love to do.

Watching the health and fitness changes of a clients entire family because of the work I am doing with one family member.

Coaching clients through the process of restoring function to the body, so the client can return to playing the sport they love.

Coaching clients to be happy, health and fit for the rest of their life. I have clients that started with me when they were 50. They are now 70 and active and fit living their dream life.

Coaching young future Moms restore the monthly cycle, the then become pregnant, have a healthy child, and then raise the child to be happy and healthy like Mom and Dad are now.

I get to help the world be a happier healthier place.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When I was overweight in pain and not happy with my life. People just gave me cookie cutter plans that didn't work. I wasn't educated on how or why to do things, and when it didn't work people didn't want to help.

I work with people and coach them providing education and ideas to be successful. If a client struggles with these ideas I come up with new ideas that fit the values of the client better.
