Adriana is one of the best pilates instructors I have ever been to. No matter how many classes I have been to and no matter how great of shape I have been in the classes are the most challenging I have ever been to. Nothing impacts your core faster than a reformer class and you will see the results.
Natalie is the best thing that's ever happened to my aches and pains. At the end of my massages I always feel loose, relaxed, and ready to go. Whether it's workout/sports pain or pain from being on a computer all day, she knows exactly what I need. It's the first time in a few weeks where I've been able to type without a pain in my forearm, and she was able to fix me up within a few minutes.
This is a review for Dr. Daniel Cordero (aka dr.dan) and his chiropractic services. I came in suffering from really bad back pain, that was causing me to not exercise and suffer in multiple facets of my daily life. Scheduling was really easy, I have cigna and they were listed as a provider. Dr. Dan was able to fit me in for a first visit same week and took care of all the insurance stuff. The facility is easy to get to, plenty of parking, and is really clean/well taken care of. Dr. Dan gave me a great initial assessment, and from there he created a plan to strengthen my back/body to alleviate the pains I was having. I have been lifting weights since I was 16, but years of improper form and bad habits had created poor posture and back pain. Dr. Dan gave me exercises and showed me how to do them properly. They have a really nice fitness area where we practiced the movements. In order to get better, YOU have to be willing to put the time and do the workouts on your own as well. It has been 5-6 weeks and I feel totally different/better. It has helped me improve not only how I feel physically, but also my general happiness. Now I have a plan to wellness, and I am going to keep working towards "normal". Highly recommend Dr. Dan!
My 8 year old son has been coming to this gym 3 days a week for the past 2 years. He loves it!Coach Dave shows a genuine interest in my son and the other kids in the class. The classes are a good workout for the kids. They definitely get sweaty! Coach Dave focuses on teaching proper technique. Once the kids are ready, they are allowed to spar. The kids wear gloves and shin guards when sparring. It's a very safe and controlled environment. Coach Dave also emphasize proper nutrition and respect for self and others.I've noticed an improvement in my son's self confidence and mental and physical strength. I am so happy with my son's achievements inside and outside the gym.I highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a nontraditional sport for your kids or during the off-season of their other sports. Nice clean new gym located in beautiful San Diego. Staff is very helpful. Equipment is brand new and the trainers really know what they are doing. It’s a warming environment to get in a good workout before you start your day or as you end it.

After receiving my Structural Integration ten series I have felt transformed. I have a new relationship with my body in gravity. I have more ease in movement and significantly less pain and overall discomfort. I highly recommend both him and Azilee for their services. I absolutely love F45! I'm on the one week trial right now and I'm planning on going every single day this week. I had no idea they were open for so long and had such a great community built in. I've been addressed by name and really welcomed every time I've been in there. The workouts are HARD. They've left me more sore than most other workouts I go to. The best thing is that you are constantly switching what you are doing in the circuit that the time just flies by. You never get bored or even too tired to take on the next challenge. The best part of all of it is that you never get down on yourself or think that anything is too difficult... because you really can do anything for just 30 seconds or a minute! The equipment is great - a lot of stuff I have seen before but a lot of new things that I'd love to learn about more. Depending on the day, you're rotating between stations, sometimes less than 10 for more rounds or sometimes more for less rounds. You don't get a lot of break time, so use your water break wisely and definitely hydrate before you go in. Usually M, W, F are more cardio days (the hardest for me), and the other ones are strength (which makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning....). I'm really pushed by the instructors, and they're always around to give you a high five and let you know that you can do it! The one thing that I would say is that they don't provide a space or time to stretch after class, and I think that's the main reason I've been so sore. I probably should stretch a little on my own, but I do love it when classes have that build in time. Also, sometimes I feel like I'm doing one of the exercises wrong, and the time is too short to ask for help or get corrected! Sometimes I'm scared I'm going to hurt my back when really I should be working out my abs, etc. Overall, I'm so excited to finish out my week and keep returning to F45!! Highly recommend if you want to be pushed to the limit and get in shape.
I've tried several cycling studios in the area, and this one is a pretty cool one that more people should know about! The front desk lady was super excited that I was a new member and that got me more pumped (which was helpful for a 6:30 am class.....need all of the energy that I can get lol). My instructor was Dounia; she greeted me in a friendly manner. The bike room has a Cyclebar vibe to it; dark room where the instructor can tweak the lighting pattern of the room, spotlight on the instructor bike. The class format is one typically seen from other cycling studios: choreography, sprints, one song consisting of weights. No numbers like at Cyclebar.The more I got familiar with Dounia, the more I thought "this lady has a really nice voice" LOL. Her voice reminded me a little bit of Natalie Portman's, hahah. The bike room is not as big as ones at other cycling studios; with that being said, Dounia was able to cheer for each rider individually at least once in the session.No lockers, just cubbies. I wish there was a water station to fill up my water bottle after class. If you forgot to bring water, the place sells cold Dasani water bottles (not sure what the cost is though). Location is in a plaza, thank goodness the sign is big and clear to see. Not sure how tough parking is in the afternoon/evening, but early morning parking is easy peasy on the lot.
How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Our group classes are designed for any level of fitness from beginners to more advanced athletes. We take all the guess work out of getting healthy. The hardest part is showing up, once you are in the door you are guaranteed a great and effective workout, you don't have to think up a plan yourself or wonder if you are doing the right thing. Our coaches will guide you though the entire one hour lesson. If you take part in one of our regular nutrition or fast loss challenges (one is coming up in January) you will get a detailed, personal nutrition plan, daily food log check ins, weekly meetings, progress weigh ins and lectures to teach you how to change your life for good not just for the challenge.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Hard work, no one wants to hear that but it's the truth. It doesn't always have to be miserable though! We have found a way to make getting in shape more enjoyable. We never workout alone, we always have others to lean on, cheer on or sometimes just complain with! When it comes to our fat loss challenges or nutrition challenges we incorporate the same group mentality. We keep each other accountable on a daily basis and it helps so much. We do all of these things until it is a normal part of our routine, until, without realizing it our lives feel strange without it. Then before you know it exercising and eating healthy is just a part of who you are. Then you look in the mirror and realize you finally have the body you always wanted but that doesn't compare to the confidence you now have, the things you have learned about your body, mind and spirit, or the amazing friendships you have made at the gym along the way.
What do you love most about your job?
I love changing people's lives. I love helping them see their potential, helping them push through the things that are hard or carrying them through when it's more than just the weights that are heavy.

What inspired you to start your own business?
My clients, have always inspired me. Sometimes they come in with very specific goals and sometimes not but they are always surprised with the things they achieve at our gym. All I ask is a good solid effort, if you put that in you will make progress. It's a guarantee!
