I am new to the area and arranged a quote from Jack to remove a 30ft + overgrown large connifer which was very close to the house. The quote was very fair and Jack arranged a covenient date to complete the work.Jack and Adam arrived bang on the time and quite frankly both worked really hard and did a first class job.They removed the tree, ground the stump down and not only removed all the waste but left the garden and driveway very tidy. They also took great care not to damage a boundary fence and nearby shed which were right next to the offending tree.I was delighted with the service and would highly recommend this company, so much so I have already booked them for some further work. Carried out quickly, competently and a lovely manner, a lot of people can learn from him!
I would definitely recommend, Jack, he did as I asked such as providing a breakdown of costs so I could choose what was to be done, keeping the stump for example, which was very helpful as I hadn’t quite decided at quote stage.

What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the tree care side of it. It’s not just about cutting trees down — it’s about understanding them. Every tree has its own structure, condition, and history, and good tree care means working with that, not against it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
What inspired me to start my own business was a genuine passion for tree care and wanting to do things the right way. After gaining hands-on experience in the industry, I saw how much difference good practice, attention to detail, and proper tree management can make — not just to the trees themselves, but to people’s properties and safety too.
I wanted the freedom to build JH Trees around high standards, safe working practices, and honest advice. Starting my own business meant I could put tree health and customer trust first, take real pride in the work, and build something with a strong reputation rather than just doing a job. Turning that passion into a business felt like the natural next step.
