I have always been the busy body at family and friends parties or events, either running around in the kitchen or ensuring everyone is looked after. So after years of planning events informally, I decided to attend a weekend Wedding Planning course in Bristol in 2010 and loved every bit of it!
It was a 2 day course, set up at a beautiful country-side hotel in Bristol. We got to experience a beautiful wedding venue as well as learn how to become a Wedding Planners. I also had a young family at the time, with my son being just 9 months old . I wanted to create something I would love doing as well as work around my family.
After the weekend course, my mind was made up and I embarked on the journey to being a Wedding Planner with my first Wedding Exhibition for my own business just a year later. After that I studied for a Business Management Degree ( to learn more about running my own business), then set up my own Wedding shop in Edinburgh in 2013.
I am passionate about what I do and have loads of experience in planning various events, from Weddings to Fashion shows. I have an excellent eye for detail, and I work very well under pressure. I also have a background working in the Hospitality industry with nearly 20 years collective experience in various areas. This has now enabled me to work well with other catering professionals at the various events or weddings I plan/coordinate.
