Very smooth talkers when discussing the replacement of a post and rail fence and we found too late that they were considerably more expensive than necessary. They said it was a big job which would take more than a day, but they did the work in one day anyway, more for their convenience than our wishes. The result is disappointing with three horizontal rails at the top of the metre high fence only four inches apart. Pictures are available before and after. I would not recommend John Watton who seemed to be the lead. He did not provide any paperwork when asked for a written quote and claimed that his email was not working either, so it would appear that there is no warranty. I had to write my own quote and get a signature from him. Also there was no paperwork at the end. As a result the fence was not done to standard and done in a rush. Broken wire netting at the base should have been replaced as originally agreed, so that a dog next door did not escape into the road, because he made excuses about disturbing the ground and making us feel awkward about the matter. I was very disapointed with the way this firms rep conducted the work.
He was untruful with what he said about the wood diposal quoting an amount of£100per ton when firms take the wood in with no cost!
