I have been training at TFW Long Island since they opened 2 years ago. Prior to that I did not belong to a gym and I was not in shape. I was afraid to walk into a gym like this but I quickly found it to be a very supportive atmosphere. The coaches frequently modify the workout for various levels of ability or for those with prior injuries. While weight training intimidated me at first, I quickly learned to love it. The coaches made a task that seemed impossible to me into something that was very doable. Your membership at TFW long Island does not end when you walk out of the gym doors, There is constant support from the coaches as well as your fellow gym members through the gym's facebook member page. In addition, discussions with the staff and members about nutrition and weekly recipes helped me incorporate better nutrition into my life. Over the last two years I have become leaner, lost 4 sizes, and built muscle, but more importantly, I have gained confidence in myself and found a great way to relieve stress. I am not usually one to write a review but I have to give credit where its due. ABBA has been one of the best experiences for my 2 daughters. They have grown in confidence, skill and always have fun. Their staff is positive and friendly to the point where you feel like you are part of the family. The facility is clean and welcoming. I would and always do recommend American Black Belt Academy. You are not going to find a more top rate place.
Should I work out every day of the week?
It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!
