‘19 Certificate of Excellence

AY & Associates, LLC (AYA) is the coaching and executive coaching practice of Dr. Arnetta Yardbourgh, PhD, CPCC — known to clients as AYACOACH. For over 24 years, I've coached executives, founders, and career pivoters through high-stakes transitions, bringing doctoral-level training in clinical psychology together with decades of real-world coaching experience. My approach is direct, evidence-informed, and judgment-free. I believe Positive Change matters —and that real change starts with being seen clearly, not managed. I am a Postdoctoral Fellow pursuing licensure and currently unlicensed; coaching is not therapy and does not constitute a clinical relationship.

What do you love most about your job?

Watching someone recognize a pattern they've carried for years and finally have language for it. That moment — when the fog clears — is why I do this work.

What inspired you to start your own business?

After 24 years of coaching founders and executives, I went back to school for my PhD in Clinical Psychology to deepen what I could offer. AY & Associates brings together that training and two decades of coaching experience.

Why should our clients choose you?

A Bark client should choose the services I offer because I will hold my clients accountable to the goals that they set out for themselves. I will work with my clients to identify what is trying to happen; that thing in their heart and mind that wishes to be created. I will listen, offer objective feedback, and advocate those steps that my client will create for themselves. I do not buy into the "excuse game" yet I do offer empathy and honesty as my clients begin their journey. The one thing I will share is that, "I cannot want it more for YOU than you want it for yourself." I will support and advocate for the Positive Change that my clients seek to embrace and live.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes—all of my coaching, including 1:1 and executive sessions, is offered remotely via video call. I’ve worked this way with clients across time zones for years, so the relationship, the depth of the work, and the results don't depend on being in the same room.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

All sessions are conducted virtually by video call, so there’s no in-person contact required. This has been my standard format for years, not a pandemic adjustment—it’s simply the most flexible option for clients with demanding schedules.
