I don’t usually do reviews but felt that this is a special case. I have been in and out of therapy for over ten years. I have a lot of childhood trauma as well as present experiences and challenges that are holding me back and needed to be addressed. I have seen at least six different therapists but found that none really helped me deal with the trauma itself and the issues that manifested due to it. I had all but given up but then I met Kelly from Hope Road. Now, I am the type of person who researches everything and was a little skeptical at first but Kelly has completely put me at ease with her professionalism, knowledge, and experience. Kelly holds a bachelor’s in psychology, is an NLP Master Practitioner, and is also a certified clinical hypnotherapist. Kelly has a lot of training and education, and it shows. She is very professional, caring and understanding. With any new therapist, it can take some time to open up, but Kelly was able to put me at ease, and opening up to her about my trauma felt natural. Kelly has a very calming presence and, unlike traditional therapists, focuses forward on getting to the root of your issues. I have been seeing Kelly for several months now and have already noticed a big change. I have better emotional regulation, and I don’t focus on my past trauma like I use to. Before Kelly I felt like “the walking wounded”, I went through the motions of having a productive life but was struggling internally. Now I focus forward and feel as though I am gradually becoming happier. I really contribute this to Kelly’s unique method of addressing my trauma using NLP and Hypnosis. Trauma is often misunderstood, and it can take a long time to rewire your brain to overcome with traditional talk therapy. I know I will need more therapy sessions with Kelly, but for once I see a light at the end of the tunnel and real progress. I am so happy that I investigated NLP and Hypnosis and found Kelly! I received a remarkable reduction of back pain when working with Berkeley Hypnosis and Pain Management. Mahesh has an array of skills and techniques that he used in his treatment of my pain and distress. He explained why the techniques worked and how I could integrate them into my personal life. If I ever have an issue with major pain, I will certainly turn again to Mahesh at Berkeley Hypnosis and Pain Management.

I see a reduction already in my occurrences. I try to focus and direct my attention elsewhere and say to myself "I don't need this" like you did in the recording. I've listened to the recording the last two nights before going to bed and I have to tell you I haven't had that good of night sleep in many years. I've listened to the recording at lunch time it seems to help. I'm looking forward to more continued success in the reduction of my blinking and head nodding. My experience was a deep state of relaxation while being alert and cognizant the entire time, in a heightened state of awareness of my subconscious mind. Referred by my doctor, I went to Shirley for hypnotherapy to quit smoking. Chantix, nicotine replacement (gum, patches and vaping) weren't working. I didn't know what to expect, but after my session I just...stopped...smoking. (It's been nearly two months as I type this and no nicotine in any form.) I still have urges, but have been able to overcome them easily. I've used the recording of our session a few times as well, and that's been very helpful. Sessions are longer than usual, as she takes time to sit with the patient on her cozy couch and listen to what they are feeling ..from this she gets plans what she's going to do.I get treated every two weeks by her. I couldn't live without her attentive, comforting therapeutic work.

Just had a couple of sessions and might I say I was a bit skeptical at first to try this but now after having them I'm really glad that I did it.
