Justin truly is the San Diego dog whisperer. My wife and I recently decided it was time to search for a private trainer for our 3 year old golden retriever in order to get a handle on some of his bad habits. After looking through yelp, Justin's overwhelming reviews made him the pretty obvious choice. We decided we might as well go with the best if we really wanted to commit to a trainer. The wait was well worth it as after just our first two hour session yesterday, the differences have been night and day. Justin's passion for dogs and helping people learn to properly communicate with their dog was immediately obvious. He truly cares about his techniques being effective long after he leaves. It was so amazing to see how well our dog would respond to us within minutes of learning Justin's exercises for communication. Our amazement only continued to grow once we went outside for leash training. Walks have always been a mix of either being pulled, or needing to pull when the brakes are put on to sniff every smell or lunge toward any passing dog. His leash skills improved quickly yesterday and to our amazement stuck overnight as I was able to easily write this review while walking him..which would have been an impossible task in the past. The exercises to maintain his training take little time at all and we are very much looking forward to having such a well-behaved, responsive dog. Great, Great just great!Prior to taking a much needed trip, I needed someone capable who I could trust to walk my extremely leash reactive german shepherd and upon coming across Dominik I decided to give him a try. I really couldn't be more happier or ask for a more positive experience, the guy is great with dogs, extremely knowledgeable and I did not expect the results I saw with my dog after introducing him to Dominik. He was able to successfully manage and control my dogs reactivity while taking him out for his walks, he instilled corrective techniques and worked with my dog with utmost patience and exhibited a high degree of professionalism. I have used Sharon's services at two different stages of my dog's "puppyhood". I first used Sharon about a year ago to help my dog Casey learn basic manners (sit, stay, come, off). She was very helpful and her techniques really worked. About 10 months later, I called her again to sign up for three more sessions. My dog had started becoming more aggressive on his walks, often growling or barking at people on the street. Not only was this embarrassing, but I was started to get worried he would lash out at a human. So, Sharon showed me how to train him to walk more calmly, and so far, her advice has worked. Casey still isn't perfect on the leash (what puppy is?), but I now have an arsenal of tools I can use to distract him from strange humans on the street, and get him to focus on me at those times. Overall I would say that Sharon is great, and her approach is first-rate. I would, however, remind people that it is up to them to implement what she shows you. If you are lazy and don't practice with your dog, he or she will quickly forget what they've learned!

What sets me apart from many of the other trainers is my many years of dog walking coupled with having studied under some amazing Pat Miller certified trainers. They really put in the extra effort to help me develop as a dog trainer during my early years working towards my CPDT-KA. I have a lot more one on one experience with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs over so many years than many other trainers. I am extremely patient and I enjoy teaching people. I am very easy going and the sessions are a lot of fun!
I am offering remote sessions and, though in person is ideal, I have found that remote sessions can still be really effective for teaching dog training to clients. The sessions are usually done via Zoom or FaceTime.
I am offering either remote sessions over video chat or for in person sessions I am only meeting out doors wearing masks and maintaining social distance. I am currently not doing in home sessions.
