Dr. Lisa and her staff are just wonderful. I started going to her for the convenient location and hours (including evenings and weekends) but after our first visit I decided I didn't want anyone else to take care of my best friend. Diamond is a 90 pound bulldog who is very nervous about car trips and strang places. Dr. Lisa got right down on the floor with her and took her time to "make friends" before doing the exam. She listened to our concerns and made some great recommendations to keep our girl healthy and happy. We never feel rushed or that our concerns aren't being addressed during our appointments. I happened upon Grandview Animal Care Center, and Dr. Lisa, about two years ago when I was researching different veterinary offices for use as a primary care center for the dogs brought into rescue. After the first few visits, not only was I impressed with the lack of price gouging (which anyone with a pet knows happens all too often at some veterinary offices) but they were professional and truly care about the well-being of your pets. What do you love most about your job?
I love teaching people not only how to bond with their dog, but how you can actually speak their language to get the most out of that bond. I take the frustration out of puppy training and make it a fun and positive experience for you and your pet!
Why should our clients choose you?
All my techniques are positive...I teach you how to get your dog to work for you and not for treats (bribery). In the end, with patience and consistency you will have a well behaved member of your family that you will be proud of. I will never tell you to do something that I, myself have not done...so I KNOW that they are successful! I have adopted dogs from 6 weeks of age to 5 years of age with a variety of personalities, although I consider myself lucky with how well they are behaved, I also know that it is because I have learned the techniques to an expert level to get them there. Working as a veterinary technician, I can also often detect and discuss medical issues that could possibly be causing behavior changes in your pet as well and work with your veterinarian to solve the issue.
