About

Bark Busters is the worldwide leader of in-home dog training. Over the past 30 years, we have trained more than 1 million dogs and their pet parents using our natural communication techniques that dogs understand.

I apply the same communication methods - body language and voice control - that dogs follow in their instinctive pack mentality.

I’m very impressed ! I never thought I could change my dog behavior so rapidly! Learning dog language is the key! Big thanks to Marc for his help and made me understand the real relationship between me and my dog!

Though my family & I were not skeptical of what Marc could do with our pup, we certainly were not expecting to see results that day! Learning to speak your dog’s language is life-changing for your dog and the relationship you have with them. We finally feel in control of and understand our dog’s behavior. If Miracle Worker is a job title...it belong to Randy & Kayla with Bark Busters! We called them desperate in December because my fiancé and I were trying to introduce our girls and they got into a very scary fight. Not to mention, our older shepherd was impossible to walk. We can now walk all 3 girls with no pulling or barking at other dogs and most importantly we were able to move in together. We were considering rehoming one of our girls, but now we have the rights skills and techniques and are fully confident in our dog training. In a house with 3 big dogs, you’d imagine there’s a lot of barking and rushing the door when someone knocks, but not anymore, our girls allow us to welcome someone in and greet them once they’ve been freed. Thank you Randy & Kayla from the bottom of our hearts -Alex & Lynne More...

Greg was awesome!!!  After having our puppy for a few weeks, she began exhibiting signs of aggression and nipping.  At first we were a little reluctant to hire a professional and tried following online articles and videos on how to train your dog.  We tried and failed; our dog just would not listen.  After finally giving in, we called Greg and he came for an initial two hour visit.  From the moment he entered our home, he began training our dog and she was completely receptive to all of his efforts.  We have since faithfully employed Gregs advice and techniques and our pup has been fully receptive to our commands and has not been showing the same signs of aggression. In all, I can not say enough about Greg and his efforts.  He clearly cares greatly for dogs and just an all around great human.  I would recommend  Greg to anyone in need of dog training, 100x over. I would never have believed it if I did not experience it myself.  I worked with Justin one day, and the next day I had the best walks I have ever had with our extremely energetic chocolate lab, Otis. Otis's energy level, combined with the fact that he is a strong, solid 80 pounds of dog who does have a history of reacting to other dogs, made life challenging.  We had previously worked with a different trainer without much luck, so I was becoming quite frustrated.  When Justin arrived, I could not believe how quickly and thoroughly he understood Otis and what we needed to do with him. Justin seems to honestly have instinctual insight and he genuinely loves dogs and loves working with them. He provided very clear, easy to understand instructions, and was encouraging and patient as I practiced the techniques that he explained. I also have recorded instructions and print outs to help me remember and feel confident in what I am doing. I also really appreciated his explanations of the reasoning for the techniques he taught me. It makes sense and gives me the satisfaction that I am doing right by Otis. I am seriously relieved that I am now able to set and maintain boundaries that enable me to enjoy our walks and interactions at home. What a relief! No matter your dog or situation, Justin is definitely the trainer for you! More...

Kayla is as good as they come. She is responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, and has a heart of gold. (I've not yet met Randy but I'm sure he's a peach too. ) We had our first training session for our new pup with Kayla and we feel prepared to guide our new family member in the right direction. I have used Bark Busters training for my old dogs and the techniques work like a charm!  Since it's been 14 years since I've gone through the training, we thought we'd be proactive and get help right away with our new pup. Kayla has helped with building leadership, kennel training, walking, distance control, separation anxiety, antagonistic behavior toward other pet, and potty training...and we've only had one training session so far! Training your pet the right way is time and energy consuming, but I feel well-equipped with Kayla as my consultant. I am lucky to have found this dynamic duo! WOW! We had Frank visit our home a week ago and we are just amazed at the results we see in our terrier and pitbull. Our terrier would bark at every noise she heard and our pitbull had extreme anxiety outside and around other dogs. .. the difference is outstanding! The terrier barks less and even if she does start barking we're able to stop her immediately. We're also able to snap our pitbull out of what we referred to as the "red zone." Once she zones in on another dog it was impossible to get her attention and calm her down but now we use the techniques Frank taught us and she snaps out of it right away. We still have a long way to go, and we were skeptical of the training at first, but the progress we've made in this short amount of time was worth it! More...

We contacted Karen to help us with our baby/dog situation at home and saw great results after the first session! Our issue was that after our 1 year old baby became mobile, our terrier mix was acting aggressive whenever the baby came near him. We had to use a gate to separate them but then he would whine or bark nonstop. After one session, Karen helped us establish boundaries/distance with our dog. He is now able to stay calmly in one spot while we play with the baby in the same room or another room nearby. We don't need to use the gate anymore. In addition, Karen helped us with issues like stealing food from the table and barking at doorbell, which used to be nightmare for us. She really helped us understand how to communicate with our dog. The technique is simple yet effective, and we are now able to enjoy our time with him and the baby together without needing to worry about safety all the time. More...

Marc is truly a miracle worker. I am very satisfied with the results. I had a defiant dog who was completely out of control and Marc's methods truly work if you STICK to the plan. He left me a plan each week to follow, and both of my dogs are amazing. He turned my timid dog into a confident pooch and made my aggressive 105 lb rottweiler who bit someone in the past an obedient little angel who waits for my command before doing ANYTHING. This training works if you follow the plan, my significant other did not listen and does not have the same result from our pets as I do. This training is worth every penny and I have never met someone more dedicated to their clients and passionate about their work than Marc and his wife. They are there beyond the time that you pay for. The only way you can get your dog to listen to you is by listening and following what this PAID PROFESSIONAL says. If this program does not work for you, then you have to go back to kindergarten or have your skull checked out because it is SO AMAZINGLY EASY! More...

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. When I first called in to see if Bark Busters would be the right fit for my dog, they told me that they could fix everything that I needed and more. I said ok, let's do it. We were desperate, our dog was getting aggressive with other dogs and was barking and lunging at people. He also wouldn't stop barking whenever people would come over and would bark for hours. We had Dick come over a week later. The first session, Dick went over basic puppy obedience. Our German Shepherd had already been through obedience training and was pretty good at walking and staying with us. Dick saw that our pup already knew everything but still made us spend the next 3 weeks on stuff he already knew. We thought that the next session would cover what we needed and we stuck with it. After the 3 weeks, I saw no improvement in Eli, because we had been doing what he already knew. Dick thought he saw some improvement but we were both skeptical. Dick then worked on "Distraction training" and some "off-leash training" if you could even call it that. After the 2 hour session, we asked him if we could take him on walks and on hikes even with his aggression. He said "sure" and "just give it a shot and see what happens." Those words put an uneasy feeling in my stomach. My girlfriend and I decided that Dick had no intentions of working on what we NEEDED. We brought the issues up to him in the first and second session. He clearly didn't know what to do because he just wanted to stick with his program. With no improvement with our pup we decided to ask for half of our money back because we were not given the services that we paid for. Dick said that he has done his job but will give us $150, which isn't even close to half". We then realized that this man had no intentions of helping us and only wanted our money. Bark Busters and Dick are not trust worthy or truthful. They lied to us to take our money and addressed nothing that we needed. Stay far away from Bark Busters. There are far better options that are cheaper as well. More...
