My Story After 16 years in the Medical Illustration/Animation industry, I decided it was time for a change, so I quit my job and went to culinary school at 40. It's never too late. I was the Chef and Kitchen Manager for a fantastic little Cafe for five amazing years. Then it became time to work for myself and Leaf and Loaf was born. I created a children's program called

Phyllis's culinary journey began with childhood memories of Aunt Sally's deep South American dishes, inspiring her to perfect her craft for 40 years. Opening "Southern Comfort," Phyllis brings the best southern food in the city, crafted with traditional recipes and her unique touch. The menu features Southern classics like crispy fried chicken and collard greens, offering a taste of childhood and togetherness.
