Adulting is not always easy. The demands of learning how to balance your personal needs with the needs of work, relationships, and family is tough. Therapy is about YOU…your needs your hopes for change, your life. It is my job to create a safe, welcoming environment for you to work on the goals we set together. People begin or return to therapy for all sorts of reasons. But often the catalyst is a significant life transition. Relationships are suffering, personal issues are becoming too difficult to take, or a particular challenge/situation as arisen. “We change our behavior when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of changing.” Some folks won’t actually wait until the crisis hits. They come in to gain insight about themselves and their history. They take preventative measures and can do more meaningful work while NOT in crisis. For couples, the best time for therapy is right when you start to notice a disconnection. Just like a car, it is easier to do a relational “tune-up” than to wait until the engine blows! Embrace the healing process, learn to set healthy boundaries, communicate from a place of love. If you feel like this is something you’ve been yearning for, deserve, and aspire to have within your life. Call me today so we can get started on your relationship goals. 719. 749.6860

What do you love most about your job?

It is a difficult job. I hear many stories of pain and suffering. I stay present with people in their hardest times. And yet, I do feel it is my calling…my privilege and my purpose.

The other side is that I get to teach people how to be healthy, how to have closer relationships, how to understand themselves and their partner better. The relief and joy that clients feel as they start to get better let me know we are doing something profound together. Something meaningful and rich with value.

We all exist in relationships. It is what society is made up of…family units that create neighborhoods and communities. We have varying degrees of relationships with everyone: Friends, co-workers, husbands, wives, neighbors, teachers, the bartender, pets, parents, acquaintances, the garbage man, and our children.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When choosing a specialty I thought, “Why not become an expert in the thing that everyone is in, everyone has, and everyone struggles to maintain: relationships.”

Why should our clients choose you?

My clients tell me I am laid back, very accepting, confident, and highly informative. I love to joke and will always give hugs to a client who asks.

My partner tells me I have a way of making sense out of total chaos, and making people feel comfortable, while colleagues share that I am an articulate, passionate, and safe leader.

Like many Coloradoans, I love sunshine, nature, hikes, (thin:)) fresh air, my dog's, family and a good cigar. I’m sure that we can always find something in common!
