How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

I first gather a detailed account of what the client wants to achieve and his or her current physical state. I design a complete plan for the client to take them from their starting point to their goal (and beyond) and we work to implement the plan in manageable, sustainable doses. The top priority in planning my clients fitness journey is that a holistic approach is used to improve their physical, mental, and spiritual state through movement and fitness. I want everyone who works with me to re-connect to their physical nature and learn what it takes to maintain their fitness for a lifetime.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Consistency and hard work. There are no shortcuts for anything in life.

What do you love most about your job?

I love changing lives through fitness and empowering my clients through education. I teach my clients sustainable nutrition habits that don't have them feeling deprived or starved. I also show my clients how to make fitness fit into their busy schedules.

I love that my clients experience not only physical transformations but also increased energy, better posture, less joint pain, greater confidence and improved overall health. I love hearing clients say "I just feel so much better." or seeing them get excited about new achievements such as their first pullup or touching their toes! I feel so lucky to have a positive impact on so many lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The fitness industry is full of many training practices that are led by vanity and ego. I believe there is a deeper meaning to being physical - that humans are meant to be strong and capable, not just have six-pack abs and a 415lb bench press. In this time, most people are disconnected from their physical state. Most people move in ways that are biomechanically inefficient, or they move too little. Bodybuilding and CrossFit culture do nothing to remedy this. There is simply a lack of truly effective strength and movement practice in the fitness industry, and I wanted to be a part of the "movement culture" that strives to bring this back.
