Integrative Wellness RI is owned and operated by Alyssa Knapp, MS, CEP, CTTS. Alyssa has extensively studied health and wellness management, including exercise physiology, human anatomy and physiology, healthy eating practices, health psychology, mindfulness meditation, Reiki, and other holistic practices.
Over the past 12 years, Alyssa has done everything in the wellness field from personal training to managing large corporate wellness programs, and is now settling into her private practice to get back to her heart, which is working one-on-one and teaching classes.
Both the trainers and the members who come here are awesome and motivating! I look forward to each class because they are always different they address total body and everyone pushes one another in a team like setting. Thanks to everyone at Olympia I was able to get back on track to a healthy lifestyle, I have seen so much progress in just the two months from being there from losing 10 pounds and able to do things I was not able to do so , such as a push up. The trainers are always making sure exercises are being done correctly and modified for each individuals different levels of fitness. I have tried many gyms around RI and by far this is the place to be!!
Been an athlete my whole life and still continue to do so. But I've also been a big person my whole life too. For a couple of times I would be in and out of the gym inconsistently throughout some years. Then took it more serious for about 2 years straight. Everything was awesome, I was loosing weight gaining muscle and loosing most of my back/knee problems. Then 1 day after a night shift at work, I got into my first major accident and it all went down hill from there. Needless to say I gained all the weight back and then some. Sy has reached out to me once before and suggested I try out his training. I was interested but never took the initiative. Now that I've recently got back into the sport I love, (volleyball) I want to get into better shape again and get rid of all my problems. I've been to 2 sessions so far with Sy and honestly... best work outs I've ever done so far. Best, in the sense I can feel more of my muscles being used while doing reps while never feeling crazy sore. I always thought, no pain no gain, but he made me believe differently now. I still have a long way to go but I just wanna give a big shoutout to Sy Pires for giving me this opportunity to work with him. You're an awesome trainer and you also talk to your clients without making them feel out of place. Thanks bud!
