I intended to leave this review last fall when I gave my negative review of RAK chiropractic. Soon after my bad experience there my Tae Kwon Do instructor recommended his practitioner, with whom my husband also had success. Dr. Lovett listened, and gave me a clear plan of care, which was two sessions. One with electro stimulus relax the muscles, and one to address the spasm and pain. I walked out of there pain free and haven't had a spasm since. Two visits. That's it. (And contrary to RAK, who told me there was much work to do and that I was misaligned because of one leg being shorter than the other, Dr. Lovett assures me that my body wants to be that way). Thank you Dr. Lovett, for being a great and caring healthcare and wellbeing practitioner.

Absolutely fantastic facility and programming for anyone 18+ but geared to active adults 50+. Personally I mostly use the exercise are which are state of the art but there is a pool, aerobics, and other options too. They have two kinds of membership too. The other kind is for social things. Arts, crafts, pool table area, poker and other card games, all sorts of stuff. Additionally members get a discount on renting the facilities for events and they have rental space at a number of price points. With the WiFi it’s a great option for clubs and things if that nature. Dunn Bros Coffee is directly across the street for food and beverage takeout as well as Valentino’s Pizza. Right next door is the Rochester Recreation Center too for even more options. Given all the amenities it’s a bargain compared to gym only facilities. In fact no other facility has the breadth of programming these folks offer but classes do cost extra. Very reasonable prices though in my experience.

Heather has helped make huge strides in my recovery from back surgery. I had a bad experience in PT and was not making any progress. I signed up at Transform unable to do squat without falling over. Heather created workouts for my ability and strength and continues to help me with modifications. In 1 month time of working with Heather I was able to do squat with no support. She is super supportive, encouraging and gives great feedback. She makes it feel like a family not just a gym!

I've been training with Shelly for almost 15 years!! I've done 1 on 1 training. I've trained with her once, twice, three, four times per week over the years. I've done boot camp at 6am at the soccer fields. I've done fit camps at all three of her gyms. I've worked out with her in the morning, during the day and during the evenings throughout the years. I've come and gone, but always come home to my dear friend, Shelly! She's pushed me when I've needed pushing. She's supported my goals all along. She also let's me just be - sometimes I want to participate but I may not like all the movements so I do my own thing to an extent. She's comfortable with it all! I've seen a lot of people come and go, too. She treats everyone like he/she is her favorite client!! She shares her very powerful knowledge and wisdom with all and tapers it to each person's needs. Shelly's infectious positivism is a treat! I love Shelly! I recommend her 100%!!

A certified trainer provides a level of personalization that a group class cannot. By focusing on your specific goals—whether that's recovering from an injury or training for a local event—you'll see faster, safer results.
Safety and expertise should be your top priorities. Ensure your coach holds a credential from a recognized body such as NASM, ACE, or ACSM. If you are looking for high-performance athletic training, look for an NSCA-certified specialist (CSCS).
One of the best ways to lower your bill is the hybrid approach. Use a personal trainer for a weekly check-in to perfect your technique, then apply what you've learned in your own solo workouts at the gym or at home.

Offering a PERMANENT solution to your fitness problem. I deliver online training programs that will teach you everything you need to know about fitness, nutrition, & a healthy lifestyle so that you never need to pay anyone (including myself) ever again. As my clientele has grown for the last few years for in-person training, I transitioned to the online model which actually made it easier on clients because it took out the feeling of trying to fit mine and their schedule and they were able to workout when they wanted to each day. It was also making my clients HEALTHIER! My online programs allow me to help you not only with exercise, but also with nutrition and how to integrate these habits into your life LONG-TERM. Workouts themselves are only a portion of your results, so if you're not getting help with both sides of the equation then you will never reach your goal. Learning how to implement a sustainable & effective exercise/nutrition regimen on your own will keep you from paying someone forever to only give you a small percentage of what you need I offer packages based on your needs. There is NO set price as everyone has different goals, backgrounds, budgets, and needs.
I help my clients reach their fitness goals through researched-backed program design. A program thrown together because it worked for one individual does not mean it will work for others. Each person is their own person and have their own needs, injuries, specific goals. The program is built for you and only you.
Another way I help clients is through Nutrition Coaching. Through Nutrition Coaching, we can dive together into what your goals are, what a day in the life looks like for you, family history, how you eat, etc. This is a client-centered approach to nutrition. I like to help the client almost "be their own coach" with my knowledge and help behind them, of course. They learn based on evaluating their own life and discussion with myself on what needs to be improved and, from there, we can create a game plan on how to attack your nutrition.
The secret is honestly being READY TO CHANGE. You WANT TO CHANGE but are you ready?!?! Ask yourself that. You have got to want it. You have to be all-in, no "if ands or buts" about it. You aren't on the fence about wanting change, you actually are ready to change.
Secondly, the balance of nutrition and exercise go hand-in-hand. But when it comes down to it, "abs are built in the kitchen." If your diet is not on point, then your performance won't be there. If your diet is not there, you are overeating or even maybe undereating, then it won't work. Overeating results in excess weight gain, you can not outwork a poor diet. Undereating results in not given your body what it needs to build muscle. If you don't feed it, that toned body or more muscular body won't be achievable. Sometimes weightloss isn't happening because you actually aren't eating enough, which seems completely opposite of what you think.
What I love most about my job is the connection with the client. There is more to this job than just programming and coaching. Also what I love is helping clients reach their fitness goals, seeing their progress and improvement first hand, and building those relationships with them. I also enjoy the flexibility and creativity that comes with designing custom workout and nutrition plans to fit the needs of the client.
I have always had a passion for health and wellness my entire life. I played sports since I was 3 years old and began weight training at the age of 12. Ever since I was 12, I was hooked. I went through a phase of being tall and lanky, as people call it now days, so when incorporated strength training to my daily routine I saw a lot of results. I put on mass and weight easily. I was young at the time but that will happen when you go through puberty.
I continued my passion in high school with lifting for sport. I was the strongest one in my class and on the team. I just was constantly growing in the weightroom and began coaching other teammates regarding weight training and conditioning. Through coaching others, I just knew I had a knack for the ability to coach and push people to their full potential.
I went to school for exercise science and loved it so much that I went and got my masters degree in Human Performance: Strength and Conditioning. I continued to expand my services out of college at a local gym that mainly coached CrossFit but I expanded its services by adding strength training and conditioning classes for athletes of all levels.
Personal training continued to grow at this time and my clientele continued to grow so that made me think that I could do this on my own and not run it underneath another business owner. And there we go, from there on out I owned my own business and am still growing to this day.
Personal Training just came easy for me because I loved connecting with clients and enjoying that hour with them and see them progress. My services always had online as an option and going remote with clients from all over and just seeing their results and how happy they are and have become with themselves from working with me let's me know that I have impacted them and made the right decision to move out on my own.
As a personal trainer, I am dedicated to helping my clients reach their fitness goals in a safe and effective manner. With a strong background in exercise physiology, kinesiology, human performance (strength training and conditioning), and nutrition, I have the knowledge and expertise to design personalized training programs that take into account each client's unique physical abilities and limitations. I am also a firm believer in the power of positive reinforcement and a supportive coaching environment. I take a hands-on approach to training, working closely with each client to motivate and inspire them to push past their limits. Whether you're looking to lose weight, build muscle, or simply improve your overall fitness, I have the experience, passion, and commitment to help you succeed.
Yes, I do provide services online/remote. A lot of my clientele have moved to my online platform which is convenient for them, timing wise, when it comes to when they can get their workout in. I utilize an app called TrueCoach which is where I deliver the programming to my client on a weekly basis. This app is useful for my clients when working remotely because there are exercise demo videos attached to each individual exercise to help make sure they are perform the movement correctly. It, also, leaves the opportunity for the client to upload the video to the app for me to view later and give feedback to the client.
Part of the consult is understanding equipment you have access to so programming will be accommodating to the availability of the equipment.
When working with me, in regards to nutrition, I utilize google sheets/documents to share information with the client and also use MyFitnessPal to evaluate nutrition week to week with the client.
A bonus to working with me, you will receive my personal phone number and can contact me at any time, 24/6 (I take Saturdays off from work) to have any questions or would like to sit down and schedule a phone call with me. You pay to have me and use me to the max, no question will go unanswered. Injuries will be solved and program will be changed to accommodate any injury that occurs at any time.
I have implemented what I call "House Calls." House calls is short for me coming to your home to train you. This only works for those that are close by to the surrounding area in which I live, contact for more information to see if the distance from me will work. (Please note, I will bring minimal equipment to your house, i.e. bands, tools for stretching. Otherwise you would have all the equipment already. I will accommodate to all equipment that you have).
If wanting to work in-person and would like me to wear a mask, I will gladly do so, your comfort is key to a successful training session.
