Bound Boxing Academy's Trainer/Coach, Juan Medina, is truly a champion training champions and he won't let you fail. Â The facility is beautiful and immaculately clean and very professional. Â Juan Medina has inspired me to draw from within and be the best I can be without feeling intimidated. Â I joined the Academy to get in better shape, but now am determined to learn the skills of boxing, which I believe, is the most difficult sport. Patricia Cabrera

Coach Rios is by far the best strength coach I have ever had. He has immense knowledge in the field, and could talk to me for hours about lifts, muscle groups, nutrition and anything else fitness. Danny makes sure that you are progressing and any areas you lack in he will adjust the workouts accordingly to build up that area. He has also done everything he will tell you to do, whether on the football field or grinding in the weight room he knows everything strength training. I couldn’t be more grateful that he was my strength coach for two years at the beginning of my college football career. I will use his knowledge that he passed down to me for years to come. He is an amazing coach, mentor, and friend. He is the reason I want to be a coach and major in kinesiology so I can help people the way he helped me. Thanks Coach!!

In a busy area like Imperial Beach, the biggest benefit is accountability. You aren't just paying for a workout; you're paying for a professional to ensure your form is perfect and your time isn't wasted on exercises that don't work for your body.
A reputable trainer must be certified. Look for certifications from accredited organizations. The most respected in the US are NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise), ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association)—particularly the CSCS for athletes.
To keep costs down, consider small group training. By grabbing a few friends and splitting the session fee, you get expert attention for a fraction of the price. Additionally, ask about 'Commit and Save' deals where buying upfront lowers the per-session rate.

There is no secret really, it is all up to you. You get what you put out. I won't try and sell you using pseudoscience which is what a lot of organizations do. There is not one way but many ways to get the body of your dreams. Just need to work hard, stay focused, and dedicated then it will come in time. Takes time to progress but all good things come to those that wait.
What I love most is that first message after a week or two, "It has been hard but I am actually feeling better and starting to see results!" I love helping clients reach their goals and meeting their satisfaction. Not only do I get the help you, but you get to learn and eventually help yourself. I pride myself on communication and I love talking to people.
Being an athlete all my life and competing at the highest level of the soccer world inspired me to take my knowledge of fitness and use it to help others. My family members encouraged me to start this business because I was helping them lose weight and realize goals they didn't know they had. When results were coming, I found I was good at training and at communicating, therefore I felt like a natural fit.
My clients should choose me because I feel they would be most comfortable with me. When you are exercising and paying someone to help (and I speak out of experience from my competition days) you don't want a trainer that isn't a people person or willing to work with you. You want someone that can give you what you want and GUIDE you to what you need. Communication is important in this business, and you don't need flashy muscles to prove you are a great trainer. If anything that is more intimidating to most people. I feel I bring real-world experience (personal weight loss, etc.) that can help me relate to clients and help find out what works out for them.
