My partner brought home takeout from Rocchio's since I have been saying for the past 2 weeks that I want to try it.He chatted with the employee a bit about what is most popular, and was recommended the Rocchio & a meatball sub. He said the employees were very friendly and helpful in describing the different menu items they offer. The Rocchio is an Italian hoagie on steroids. The meats and cheese are top notch & the roasted red peppers, crunchy lettuce, and delicious oregano dressing made this hoagie a slam dunk; one of the best I've ever had. I love that it was wrapped in traditional butcher paper - a nice touch! The meatball sub was outstanding. The homemade meatballs were a nice size and there were 3 on the (six inch-ish?) sub with a good amount of delicious marinara sauce. It was topped with melted mozzarella. The bread they use tastes so fresh & is a great texture. Yum!He also got 2 sides of pasta salad which were absolutely delicious and a perfect accompaniment to our subs. We will be back in a heartbeat!!!! Great addition to Dormont.

I took advantage of the to-go muffulettas offered during the recent fat tuesday dinner over there at Breakfast at Shelly's. Let me start by saying that coming in my expectations were quite high. I had been to N'awlins about a year ago (vacation bragger here), and was hoping to revisit one of the highlights of the trip. I was not to be disappointed!!! these muffulettas were LEGIT!!!!! Huge specimen, could easily have fed 2 people, stuffed with meats and cheese, and bursting with olive salad!!!!. super well done. bread was crazy fresh tasting. First bite and i was right back on Decatur st. that olive salad was spot on. You guys did your research!! As i'm eating it i could close my eyes and hear jazz music. Please don't wait a year to make these again. just open up a muffuletta shop.

I've been here four times, and I've loved it every time. The Cuban sandwich is my favorite, in fact, I believe it’s my favorite version of the Cuban in Pittsburgh. I had a great conversation with the owner about horror novels and the proper way to handle solicitors bearing pamphlets. It’s a super relaxed environment for the south side.

Light-up Night 2018 was chilly, but our visit to Alihan's provided a cozy and utterly satisfying repast. Outstanding Mediterranean cuisine with fresh, beautiful and extremely delicious food. The bread is outstanding. Turkish coffee is served in lovely filigree silver cups, and the accompanying baklava we ordered to round off the meal was the perfect component.

Lidia rocks! I had the Fava Bean salad -- incredible creation. And then the chicken with lemon and capers; a taste explosion of great subtlety. If all of that hadn't already taken me straight to heaven, the cannoli certainly did. If you are in Pittsburgh with a minute to spare, go to this restaurant! Lidia's world-wide fame is not coming out of nowhere. This woman knows a thing or two about food and cooking. Also, I sat in the bar area, and bartender Marty provided the most excellent service, had intimate knowledge of the menu; very good wine recommendations!
How much does a Caterer cost?
Your expert caterer will be able to advise you on the most suitable menus and service.
What should I look for when choosing a Caterer?
It is important to know the following before deciding on a catering company:
Event Specialists - Many caterers handle certain types of events on a regular basis, such as weddings and corporate events.
Different cuisines - Caterers might specialise in different kinds of cuisine. Some caterers may provide a fine dining experience while others excel at barbecues that suit company picnics.
Special requirements - If you have special requirements for the food or a specific menu in mind make sure your caterer is happy to meet those requirements.
Venue - Your gathering might be taking place at someone’s home, a venue or outdoors. It can be helpful if your caterer has worked at the venue before.
Tastings - Ask for a tasting to make sure the food is of a high standard. Most caterers will prepare one for you at no charge, allowing you to assess the quality of their cooking before you hire them.
How do I check a Catering Company’s credentials?
You could look for caterers with a foundation degree, higher national diploma or degree in Professional Cookery and Culinary Arts.
Before you choose a caterer, you could read testimonials and see pictures of their food on their website.
You could also look at their profile page on Bark and read reviews from past customers, too.
