Best meatballs ever!! I loved that Renae serve them without the bread too. Gave my belly more room to enjoy her pasta salad. My daughter gives Rocchio's 5 stars too for the chili and meatball sub she got. If you're in the area, stop by and enjoy some delicious food made with love. She even sells a lot of locally made foods to fill your pantry. So glad we found this place on Yelp!! More...

Stopped in for the Thursday pasta and meatball bowl lunch special. I thought it was a pretty generous portion for $5 and very tasty too. It came in a styrofoam bowl, similar to what you would get soup in. It was filled to the brim and he sprinkled parmesan cheese on it. There are a couple of two-seater tables outside where I was able to sit at one and read while enjoying my lunch. More...

We needed an Italian Deli in Dormont and we got the best with Rocchio’s! The sandwiches are awesome. Renee makes the best meatballs and sauce. When they first opened I tried the meatball sub. Sooo good. When I found out I could buy the meatballs and a quart of sauce,...well it’s a great place to stop in after work when I want to make a quick pasta dinner! If you haven’t tried it yet, do it! You can’t go wrong no matter what you get! More...

Walking down these streets on a hot day, nothing could be better then stopping at an authentic Italian deli for some gelato! Thankfully this deli has much more to offer! From the VERY helpful and kind employees to all of their home-made options this place is a recipe for a fantastic deli! I had their homemade meatball sub, some macaroni salad and chocolate gelato. Their meatball is fantastic! And the bread they pair it with is just a good! Their meatball is a family recipe which makes it that much better! Their macaroni salad reminds me of the dish I remember having in my childhood which means it was a really really good pasta salad! Their gelato was rich and creamy! I recommend their chocolate gelato as that is what I tried and it was fantastic! This deli is a great stop for anyone looking to get a quick, authentic bite! More...

If you haven't tried Rocchio's yet, you must! The deli is situated right on the main drag of Dormont (near Dor-Stop) so parking in the weekends can be kind of tricky! All on street. The deli is a small space, no room for eating or hanging out but is a great spot for take out/buy fresh meats and cheeses. Along with other reviews I agree that the price of items is a little much, BUT... the quality of what you get makes it worth it. My 6" sub (veggie) was about $7 but the toppings inside, were plentiful and super fresh. I would have loved the option to toast this sub, I think it would have made it even better (if that's possible)Renee, one of the business owners was extremely kind and generous. She had a sample of her ricotta cake out and of course I bought one. Again, almost $4 for a slice but it was SO GOOD! Would recommend it to anyone. I will be back, no doubt about it! More...

I couldn't be happier that these guys moved into the neighborhood. Top notch people and a top notch product. I've been here three times and every one was a slam dunk. The Rocchio sandwich and any of their homemade soups are my go to. The Rocchio is a geared up top end italian. The soups I've had include broccoli cheese, wedding, and stuffed pepper. Every one outstanding. We have also had the meatball hoagie. And it's awesome. They even have what looks like a pretty awesome veggie for the non meat eaters out there. Tried Rocchio's for the first time today for takeout at lunch. Based on the other reviews, tried the meatball sub. It was on the small side for the price point, but definitely lived up to the hype in terms of quality. Meatballs were a great texture and perfectly seasoned, the red sauce was plentiful and very tasty, lots of cheese, and a quality Mancini roll. Also got the soup of the day, which I *think* they described as "chili and rice". I didn't find any rice, but that's not a complaint--it was a very hearty chili, chock full of beef and several different kind of beans, with a balanced flavor and a nice kick of heat. Maybe a little too spicy for some, actually, but just right for me. Finally, the owners were super friendly and accommodating, so will be happy to keep supporting this great local restaurant! More...

Stumbled across this cute deli while walking in Dormont today. What a great find!!! We had been talking about what to eat for dinner so this was perfect timing. We ordered an americano hoagie, a Rocchio hoagie, a hot sausage hoagie, a vegiano hoagie and 2 meatballs with cheese. We couldn't wait for dinner to try the meatballs ... they smelled so delicious & they didn't disappoint!!! They were seriously so tasty!!! The hoagies are made on Mancinis rolls with boars head products and are really good. I'm saving the veggie hoagie for lunch tomorro but after eating all the other food, I'm positive it will be scrumptious!! Bison chili was on the menu today ... omg! Soooo good!!!! I'm looking forward to the next time pepperoni rolls will be on the menu as I'll be running up to buy one , or two!! They also have some canned items to pick up. We got a jar of olive bruschetta. Also served up is gelato. I sampled death by chocolate..... I could have eaten the whole tub of it!! The owner was there and she was super nice. Chatted with us for a while. It just felt so warm and personable to be in there. Next time you're in dormont , stop in. Or it's worth a trip to take! More...

My partner brought home takeout from Rocchio's since I have been saying for the past 2 weeks that I want to try it.He chatted with the employee a bit about what is most popular, and was recommended the Rocchio & a meatball sub. He said the employees were very friendly and helpful in describing the different menu items they offer. The Rocchio is an Italian hoagie on steroids. The meats and cheese are top notch & the roasted red peppers, crunchy lettuce, and delicious oregano dressing made this hoagie a slam dunk; one of the best I've ever had. I love that it was wrapped in traditional butcher paper - a nice touch! The meatball sub was outstanding. The homemade meatballs were a nice size and there were 3 on the (six inch-ish?) sub with a good amount of delicious marinara sauce. It was topped with melted mozzarella. The bread they use tastes so fresh & is a great texture. Yum!He also got 2 sides of pasta salad which were absolutely delicious and a perfect accompaniment to our subs. We will be back in a heartbeat!!!! Great addition to Dormont. More...

Rocchios is like being in your mama's kitchen. The smell of Renee's sauce and meatballs when you walk through the door is like being home! Her meatballs were deliciousness. We shared stories and recipes just like you do when you are in your mama's cuccino! The Rocchio Italian sandwich was the best and so was the vege combo. Beth and I did the classic sister halvsies so we could taste both! Secrets you may not know - she has an Italian friend who makes homemade pasta and a chef who makes from scratch daily warm delightful homemade soups and on our visit had a tangy pot of chili in the house! Perfect stop anytime but on the way home from a long day at work you can pick up your dinner and apps. And save room for her homemade cookies and other sweet fare. Staff is friendly and helpful and willing to fill your tummy with smiles. Decor is warm, wonderful, eclectic, interesting with many relics from her life and past. When Grandma is watching over you and in the house, success will be yours! It was truly the highlight of my week and your warmth is the best. Truly a little gem on Potomac square! Thank you More...
