Shopping at REI and this place is right across the street. We got the daily special Cuban Sandwich which was fantastic. The homemade pickles were delicious and like their mustard sauce. Had the brisket sandwich and is was pretty good, not great but good. I would get it again. Got the ribs and they were the worst ribs I've ever had. The flavor was fatty and the texture was like rubber. You've heard of "fall off the bone ribs"? These weren't those, that meat wasn't letting go of them bones. I can't understand a BBQ joint not being embarrassed to sell ribs like that. (They're so easy to cook). The place was clean and the service was good. A great new BBQ place in the area. I believe they've been known as a food truck, but now they have an actual location for you to grab your favorites. Keep in mind there's only outdoor seating, so it was a bit disappointing we had to take our food to go due to the cold. It will be a great location once summer comes, as you can sit in the outdoor seats in Southside Works. We ordered the Smoked Meat Platter to share and really enjoyed it! It comes with plenty of food including, pulled pork, brisket, 4 ribs, 2 slices of turkey and pickles and onions. White bread was also supposed to come with it for the pulled pork, but ours wasn't included so we just ate it with a fork. All the meat was very tender and their BBQ sauce on the sauce was tasty. They have a spicy and original version, but I couldn't really tell the difference too much. Overall enjoyed the food and will plan on coming back when it's warmer. More...

Best bbq I've had in Pittsburgh so far - best in south side for sure. Dog friendly, big outdoor dining area, and there's a dog park behind the cheesecake factory with a beer truck. Very cool spot

Overall very disappointed. I will start off by saying that the service was great and everyone was very nice. I got the smoked meats platter as a spur-of-the-moment lunch, and I honestly wish I hadn't. The brisket was very dry and tasted like it had been boiled. There was no smoke or cattiness to it at all. Was also very tough and unappetizing. The ribs were okay. Nothing to write home about, and again I feel like they had no smoke to them. Definitely no bark on them either. The pulled pork was unremarkable, not much flavor to it. Turkey was probably the best of all the meats. It was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. Got a side of the Mac and cheese and that was pretty good! Overall, will not be coming back. More...

Amazing food! The ribs are delicious so is the bbq sandwich. Another fav of ours is the max and cheese! The owners are very friendly and great customer service!
