How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

We pay close attention to our clients lifestyle, responsibilities, time schedule, overall health, and what has worked for them at the most successful points of their lives and we custom tailor a fitness plan to the individual.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

It all comes down to addressing the 172 hours in the week. Its not always about the results from the 2-5 workouts we do per week, its more about our mindset throughout the week. Are we sticking to our menu? Are we cooking when we need to even if we are tired? Are we sleeping right and keeping our stress levels down? Are we being the best we can be to our families, our friends, our jobs?
All of the good day to day habits are what makes us the best we be. If we are mad at the world, no matter how hard you train in the gym, you will never be your best self.

What do you love most about your job?

We love to hear "I didn't think I could do that, but I did!"
We love to find the good in people and harness that and we are good at exposing areas that will help someone improve.

What inspired you to start your own business?

It all started in 2009 when Coach Jay went through a complete body transformation. He was 30 pounds overweight and it effected every area of his life: Low self esteem, lack of confidence, struggled physically, and was not his best self because of the compounding effect of being out of shape.
It wasn't until he was hiking on the Lost Coast in Northern California when he had a complete breakdown. It took being stuck in the wilderness, tired, body hurting, and at his breaking point, that the shift happened. At that moment he decided that he was going to do whatever it took to be in the best shape possible.He DID NOT ever want to feel helpless in his own body again. Once he got home, he joined a CrossFit gym and a boxing gym and started to shed the pounds and gain strength and muscle. This experience turned his life around completely and from the point on he got his education in personal training and fitness nutrition. It was in 2017 when he moved to Saint Louis that he decide to "Give the Gift" back to his new community and took a leap of faith and opened Glove Up Fitness in 2019.
