I destroyed my hip in May. When I say destroyed I mean I couldn’t stand up, walk, sleep, bend over, without severe pain or my hip locking up. For two and a half months.I was taking pain meds (which I hate), applying ice packs, and laying in bed. I went to an amazing doctor and got a diagnosis. Torn hip labrum. After discussing all of my options, physical therapy was the best option for me. I decided I would try a physical program on my own. DISCLAIMER: I’ve been a trainer for many years. I went to the urgent care and a doctor before I started my program. I frequently consult with fitness and health care professionals. Please do not try this at home. I went back to the basics of life and worked on my breathing patterns and any core stability exercise I could do without pain. Ever so slowly but surely I was having less and less pain. I was able to stand up and move without pain.After my hip was at about 60% I started getting lost. The one thing I want people to understand is that when you’re in pain, the body gets a mind of its own. Pain causes the nervous system to move the body in a way that will protect the injury. Sometimes the body can start sacrificing other joints to protect the most painful one. I didn’t want to jack anything else up. I had come so far and was healing. I reached out to Steve Long. He assessed me and wrote a custom warm up and workouts. My hip is now at damn near 100% after 4 weeks. I’ve been able to pick up weights and martial arts again. My body feels aligned and moves much more smoothly. I’m able to go on long walks with no pain at all. I HIGHLY recommend Complete Fitness Results. Whether you’re an athlete, trainer, dealing with an injury, or just starting a fitness journey. I’ve been apart of that training family for eight years and for a reason. I've really enjoyed my time at Complete Fitness Results. The trainers are knowledgable, friendly and motivating. I love that I came to Complete Result Fitness thinking that I knew how to exercise but just needed to get moving again, however the trainers have really helped with making sure I am exercising/working out in the right way/with the right form. All the exercises have forced my body to focus or work on making correct movements and have correct form so that I am helping my body not hurting it more. More...

This challenge was exactly what I needed at the time, structure, accountability and support. The plan really works! After struggling with different diets and weeks on and off the gym, finally I got what I was looking for. A structured, easy to follow meal plan, and fun yet effective workout sessions. To my surprise, the first week I lost 5.6lbs, that was more than enough motivation to keep going. I have to be honest, the challenge was not easy, but in the end, you see results. Lost 22.8lbs in total, I feel great, got more resistance and I can see the difference in my muscles.I want to thank the team of Complete Fitness Results, the trainers, the coaches and the other challengers that were my inspiration and support through these 6 past weeks. I completed the 6 week 20 pound challenge! I am so proud to say that with the help of the best gym I've ever been to I lost 23. 6 pounds!! I honestly didn't think it was possible, that I had tried everything, that it was too good to be true but I was wrong. The trainers challenge you daily with different workouts and are extremely motivating. It's crazy when you feel like you can't push yourself any harder and then Sarah, Whitney, Matt or Jared tells you to go "110% "or "you're almost done, make this your best round" and then you find that last bit of energy to push through. I love the group training and the ease of signing up for classes I've gotten a lot of motivation from everyone in the gym. Complete fitness results has changed my life for the better, I am very happy about taking the leap and I'm never going back.Update! I'm glad I did the Alumni Challenge with Complete Fitness Results. It was just what I needed to get myself back on track. After the first challenge completed I allowed myself too much freedom with working out and diet. I was able to lose the 15 pounds and couldn't have done it without this gym. The workouts are still just as challenging and the variations of workouts from day to day keep things fun. A friend asked if I would like to participate in a challenge with her, it all sounded great. I thought about it for days and two days past the starting point of the challenge. I kept coming up with excuses as to why not to do it. Then I realized that I have to do something because I continue to gain weight and keep telling myself that I'm going to do something about it soon. I never would actually start. So I forced myself to sign up for the challenge, I do a lot better when I'm being held accountable by someone other than myself. I went in got the info and started the challenge that evening. I immediately fell in love with it. The trainers were amazing and helped me through the challenge every part of the way. The other participants were so supportive and understood your challenges because they were going through them too. I never expected to see the results I got when I stepped on that scale at the final weigh in. I had lost 20.4 lbs! This was an amazing experience and highly recommend it to anyone that is interested in getting a jump start in becoming healthier. I'm eating healthy and I feel healthier and happier. I was stuck in a rut with no motivation to eat healthy or lose weight, though I wanted to do both! I watched my neighbor take The Challenge late winter. She loved it, lost 20 lbs., and was so excited about being healthy. She encouraged me that I CAN do it, and i joined her for the March Challenge. It was worth every workout, every meal, every day! CFR staff are so supportive and positive. They help with motivation, they hold you accountable, and they ENCOURAGE you daily. I didn't think I would be able to get up at 5:00am every morning, but the workouts are fun and energizing. The positive atmosphere and support made the difference for me! I recently participated in complete fitness results twenty pounds in 6 weeks challenge. At my final weigh in I was twenty-two pounds less than where I was day one. I was able to learn a good number of valuable lessons that I can take with me for the rest of my life. The trainers I worked with were knowledgeable and worked with me to be able to do a hinge motion (exercise term). I enjoyed the workouts that they had planned out, individual routines for each day. I meet some very nice and supportive people who I hope to retain as a support system down the road. More...
