I absolutely love being able to help people feel good as they do the sport they love. It may sound corny, but making a difference in people’s lives and improving their quality of life when it comes to running, is why I do what I do.
I got into running coaching and pairing yoga and self-myofascial release and I fell victim to an overuse injury after training for my first half-marathon. I knew that there had to be another way to train where I was working towards my goals and preventing injuries at the same time. From here, my passion was born and my business started.
I primarily focus on helping runners either overcome existing injuries or prevent future injuries from coming on. I know what it feels like to have to drop out of a race due to an injury. Because of that, Ive spent hundreds of hours on research and continued education to help create a program rocused on injury prevention.
I only offer my services online/remotely. All calls take place over zoom or phone call and all classes are from my website!

Working out with Derek is great! He tailors the workouts to your abilities, skill level and what you’re looking for! I especially love that he focuses on weight and strength training using methods I had never tried before! Every workout I feel stronger and like I’ve had a great training session!

Katie was my trainer for over 2 years, during which time I met my all fitness goals (weight loss, toning, overall learning about health, nutrition, & fitness)! She was a great place to start since I had zero experience in correct diet or exercise so she introduced me to several different tools (my fitness pal, Bodpod, body measurements) to track goals and progress. She also personally tailored all of my workouts to what I needed & kept them fun and interesting enough to keep me invested in those first few months while I was building the habit of working out at all. After my initial goals were met we moved into a “maintenance” phase with 3 workouts per week & working out became something I looked forward to every week. She encouraged me to expand into incorporating fitness into my overall life in a healthy way - under her training I signed up for my first half marathon and attended several amazing fitness retreats! Fitness aside she’s also a great person so all those hours of training flew by while we chatted about everything & became quite close. Anyone who has the pleasure of training with Katie will not regret it!

Andrea has been an excellent trainer! I primarily participate in her group fitness classes but have had private sessions as well. She is prepared with a plan at the beginning of each session and gives me a hard workout! She always comes prepared with alternatives if something is too challenging or outside of my ability but she challenges me to try things! She's friendly and kind. Very knowledgeable and shows NO judgement. I've often felt uncomfortable in gym environments but she makes me feel very relaxed. I would recommend her to anyone!!!
