Team Robertson's Tutoring Services

Hello, We are a mother-daughter team that understands that sometimes, a person needs some extra help to learn something. Everyone finds themselves in that situation at least once in their lives. Having a tutor who understands the frustration of having difficulty learning something and who possesses gentle patience to help you through that difficulty is a wonderful asset to a person's educational journey. Our goal is to be that kind of tutor. My name is Beth Robertson, and I am the daughter of this Mother-Daughter team and the first point of contact for potential new students. I have a double major, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management & Leadership from Franklin University, and I am currently pursuing online a Master of Professional Studies in Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems, a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability Management and Policy, and a Graduate Certificate in Business Sustainability Strategy from Penn State University. My mother is Victoria Robertson, and she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Therapy from the University of Evansville with a minor in psychology. She also has over 14 years of teaching experience in the private school system in Indiana and Ohio, primarily with elementary and middle school students. Plus, she has 20-plus years of experience working in social work. Our team is prepared and experienced in working with special needs, such as ADD/ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more. We are also set up to ensure quality tutoring in an online environment through the use of online engaging platforms and resources such as Koala Go, ILX, and more. Working with our team, one of us would be your designated tutor, with who the student will meet, but our team would work together between sessions to ensure that you have tailored lesson plans that fit your needs and help you reach your goals. Allowing you to benefit from the multiple areas of knowledge and experience our team offers. We also act as ready-to-go substitutes in the rare case that we cannot make it to a session for any reason. Thus ensuring you do not fall behind. Essentially, you are getting two tutors for the price of one! Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you! o Online and In-person Tutoring Subjects: • Math • English • Reading • Writing • Science • History • Social Studies • Social Sciences • Creative Writing • Essay Writing • Test Preparation • Developing Study Habits • And more… • ONLINE PLATFORMS UTILIZED FOR SERVICES: o Koala Go o Zoom o Microsoft Teams o Google Meets o ILX o Literably o and more... What do you love most about your job?

What we love about our job the most is the joy of the children when they see us and the "light bulb" that goes off when they figure out something they are struggling with. We love creating a safe yet fun environment for them to flourish in. We are always looking for educational moments to capitalize on in a fun and engaging way. Learning should be fun! So, that is our aim every day. As we get ready for the start of the day, we think, "Let's see what fun new things the day offers for us to learn about today!"

What inspired you to start your own business?

As a graduate student, I needed a position that offered me the flexibility of setting my own schedule, which would allow me time for school and yet could still help me make ends meet while I got my graduate degree. My love of children, animals, and education makes my choice to pursue nanny, pet, and tutoring services easy. Added to that, all of my mother's and I's experience in education, and we realized we would make a great tutoring team that could do a lot of good in helping others achieve their goals.

Why should our clients choose you?

We would only want clients to choose us if they genuinely felt we were the best fit for them and their needs. Communication, trust, comfort, and personal connection are all part of what creates that feeling of fit and will help ensure that everyone is truly happy with their selection for the long term. So, yes, we would love to see if we are a good fit, and we welcome the opportunity to work with new clients. We always strive to ensure that those foundation pieces are in place to ensure a good working relationship that enables us to work as a team, but we would never want a client to choose us in a rush or if they felt it was not quite right for them. If the fit isn't there, that's okay. We understand, and we are sure that you will find that perfect fit for you and your family before you know it.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, we can provide services online regarding tutoring, though, obviously not the pet services, or house sitting for obvious reasons. We are both very proficient with technology and can use Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Koala Go to meet with clients initially before being hired and later can use any of those platforms with students for tutoring sessions.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

We have received our COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. We can email a digital scan of our COVID-19 vaccine cards, or if we meet in person, we can also show you the actual cards.
