Hi my name is Vannaliz Alfaro. I am a private tutor with two degrees which includes a Bachelor's in Communication from Cal Poly Pomona and the other being an AA in Kinesiology from Mt. Sac. I am bilingual and have 4 years of experience successfully tutoring both kids and my peers. The need for people to learn and better understand different subjects in school is what has led me to tutoring. Due to the pandemic, there is a high demand for children to have assistance in their education because of the time they have had to learn from home. Therefore, I have dedicated my time to specifically helping children understand and grow in their learning abilities to set them up for a successful experience at school.
What I love about my job is that I get to work with kids. I believe that kids are brilliant. When given the time needed, they are able to understand concepts very well. Being able to help them and instill confidence in their learning abilities is what I love the most.
What inspired me to start my own business is the need I see for kids to have assistance in their education due to the impact of the pandemic. I want to help them catch up in school and even get ahead if possible. I believe that with time and communication, I can help kids succeed in their education.
Clients should choose me because I am very patient and understanding. Those are two qualities that allow me to create a successful experience for the kids that I work with. By being patient, I work with them and give kids the time they need to understand what it is that they are learning. I also make sure to create an experience where kids can feel free to express themselves and assure them to not be afraid to try. We always have the opportunity to grow and get better in the areas that we lack which is what I am there for.
