What do you love most about your job?

I love the lightbulb moment when a student picks up a new concept! I love seeing their face light up and watching their confidence grow a bit more.

With my younger students, I like to think of myself as their older sister. I love being their mentor and acting as their own personal cheerleader who will have their back no matter what.

With my adult students, I am always fascinated by their stories and hearing why they were interested in tutoring and becoming a friend to them as they work to achieve their goals.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. While teaching in a formal classroom is wonderful, I particularly enjoy the friendship and mentoring that happens during one-on-one sessions. As a student, I vividly remember the teachers who were willing to sit with me one-on-one and take extra time to explain the concepts to me. I hope to be a similar person for others.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Absolutely! I have access to Zoom and Facetime and would be happy to meet in either platform.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I was not tutoring before COVID-19 so I have not made any changes, however I am fully vaccinated and always happy to wear a mask when needed. I also can tutor online (either Zoom or Facetime) and promise to let students know if I am unwell or experiencing symptoms.
