Awesome information and great presentation. Carrie was our instructor and she was great! My girls felt informed and empowered. Carrie was about our size and proved that you don't have to big and strong to defend yourself. I highly recommend this training. We have two teenage daughters and feel much more comfortable with them out in the world having had this training (Basic and Advanced). We are definitely going to take some more classes!

I'm passionate about helping people create a healthier lifestyle! I love helping my clients realize their potential and accomplish things they didn't know they could. I do quite a bit of nutrition coaching, but mostly focus on one-on-one personal training, weight loss training, and currently work a lot with those who have had joint replacements or are post-injury. I work with all ages from teens to retirees.

I tore my ACL in July and started working with Seth, to rehab it. I decided to have my ACL reconstructed and, based on my "pre-hab" experience decided that Seth was the only one I wanted to do my post surgery therapy. I made this decision because you see, I have been known to "phone it in" every now and again. Knowing that proper therapy is what makes or breaks your future, Seth wan an easy decision for me. Seth was often changing up my routine so I wasn't bored and my muscles were always challenged. Hopefully I won't need ever need therapy again but if I do, Seth King is the only one I'll consider!

In a busy area like Rochester, the biggest benefit is accountability. You aren't just paying for a workout; you're paying for a professional to ensure your form is perfect and your time isn't wasted on exercises that don't work for your body.
A reputable trainer must be certified. Look for certifications from accredited organizations. The most respected in the US are NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise), ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association)—particularly the CSCS for athletes.
To keep costs down, consider small group training. By grabbing a few friends and splitting the session fee, you get expert attention for a fraction of the price. Additionally, ask about 'Commit and Save' deals where buying upfront lowers the per-session rate.
