(PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR TUTORING RATES) What sets me apart as a life coach and tutor? Coaching is balance for me, not my livelihood. I coach as part of my larger career as full time college faculty in prison; this is not my full time job. Prison teaching and coaching is full of rewards and unique celebrations, but equally fraught with barriers - even for teachers and staff. I only work with clients who feel I am the perfect fit. I am not here to sell you on a bad match. I am authentic. I am not a salesperson. I am flawed. I am still learning. I have debt, problems, and setbacks, just like you. However, I am proud, confident, motivated, and healthy, and I did not used to be any of these things! I want that for my clients, and I am very good at getting them there! I am flexible. The format in which I work with clients is client-driven. You decide the structure and format, and I will adjust (unless structure is what you struggle with, in which case I will suggest strategies to proceed!) I have unmatched experience. With a Masters in Adult Education and a pending Doctorate in Innovation & Leadership Education (in 2025!), I have an academic background that sets me apart. More importantly however, I have traveled the world, been married and divorced, and did not find my path until I was about 30. No other life coach out there has taught motorcycle driver's education, bartended, and mountain biked in Laos. I have lived, and continue to live, an interesting, unfettered and adventurous life, which has also included self-doubt, uncertainly, career confusion, anxiety, poverty, risky behavior, and overall instability. If you struggle with these things, not only can I relate to you like no other coach, but I will work with you without judgement. I do not give up. Many students and clients struggle with commitment, motivation, discipline, anxiety, doubt, and self-esteem. These factors often lead to setbacks and a lack of follow-through -- which is why they like working with me. I will not give up on you, and I will hold you accountable so that you meet your goals. I am thrilled to apply my decade+ of teaching and tutoring experience to help more adults thrive rather than survive, set and reach goals, and reach their full potential. Specific strengths: fitness, careers, goal setting, confidence, academics, strength-based approaches, financial wellness, work/life balance. Life coaching rates range from $70-$95/session which includes an hour face to face session, plus homework/readings, depending on the client's needs and wants. Tutoring rates vary from $28-$40/hour depending on the subject and frequency of meetings (the more frequently we meet, the lower the hourly rate). Please keep my rates in mind before you ask for a quote. Thank you!

What do you love most about your job?

That moment when someone has those first...and recurring!...moments of clarity about their true capabilities. The transformation from "I can't" to "I'm doing it!" never gets old. I get addicted to others' success. I also love training other trainers and tutors; I have experience training and certifying dozens of peer tutors to weave life coaching skills and tutoring skills into their work.

What inspired you to start your own business?

To practice what I preach to my students and clients about never falling into the victim mindset and focusing on what they CAN control, I needed to expand from my classroom to the public in order to share my services with a wider audience, continue to grow as a mentor and leader, and manage a solid professional balance. My "business" is in the works, but my practice is rooted in years of success stories and experience.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am authentic, flexible, judgement-free, and I do not give up on clients (even if they give up on themselves!); I have unmatched life experiences that set me apart from the crowd. Please read my "about" section for the long list of reasons!

I'm a mom, a student, a runner, a cyclist and a traveler. I have had plenty of bumps in the road. My strongest areas are: wellness, work/life balance, financial health, anxiety, career focus, goals, accountability, education, and putting ideas/goals into action. I have created and delivered classes in self-exploration and financial wellness, and have experience teaching public speaking/coaching as well as goal setting. While I am "faculty" on paper, most of the content I teach and the work I do individually with students falls into the "coach" realm due to the specific barriers and needs of adult students who did not complete high school.

I am effective as a coach because I have personally overcome major struggles in all of those areas, and because I have had a decade of experience applying my skill set to hundreds of individuals.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes. I prefer to provide services remotely and have a flexible schedule. I love zoom sessions where I can listen to you, but I know some people are shy and prefer texts and emails, or maybe video messages from me. I love the challenge of adapting to various client preferences.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I've started this post-pandemic. However, I approach all interactions with consideration for social distancing and masks to ensure clients are safe and comfortable. I am fully vaccinated.
