I started working as a day labourer when I finished school. At first, it was simply to tide me over. Soon, I realised what goes into every building you pass on the street. After a few years, I began taking on more and more responsibility. From there it was a matter of time before I branched out independently. I’ve learnt that employees respect someone who's done the hard work and got their hands dirty.
We're able to handle nearly every construction project you can think of. We take a lot of pride in craftsmanship, as it gives our customers the best value for money. I’ll never excuse work that’s less than perfect, even if a customer is putting pressure on us to get the job finished ahead of time.
Our company offers mainly homebuilding and renovation services. Recently I’ve taken on more commercial building contractors. People in this line of work tend to think big, so we’ve been able to carry out renovations for whole blocks of flats. I’ve got a Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Services, specialising in installations. This means I’m usually the one who’ll fit power systems, lighting, and any fire protection systems.

I have worked with Classic Builders over the last few years, on larger antique house upgrades to smaller sliding glass door replacement with a swinging door and window. All their work has been the best. The workers are highly skilled and easy to work with as building projects so often raise issues as they proceed. The job site is kept tidy and safe. The workers show up on time and on the days they promise. The president of Classic Builders visits each job site daily to interface with the customer, check status, provide direction as occasionally needed, and to ensure the job is proceeding smoothly and on schedule. Classic Builders uses few subcontractors; this keeps the cost down and shortens the schedule as there is no need to mesh schedules of additional trades people. In addition, quality control is kept to the highest standard. Classic Builders’ prices are generally lower than their competition. One of the highlights of employing Classic Builders is its policy of working well with city building inspectors. Sometimes this involves gently educating the inspectors and helping them see the benefits of a particular approach. All of this keeps the job on schedule and eliminates costly rework. On my next job, Classic Builders will get my call.
